TER on Twitter? How do you feel about it?

I will keep the few choice words I have right now concerning this idea to myself for the time being, but honestly do we really want this site promote itself on a Social Networking Site, that is visited by a huge amount of kids (possibly your kids, I got none) and teenagers?

I know some ladies have Twitter Accounts too, which I don't understand either, but of course that's their choice.

Well I have no plans to twitter anything. I think TER should stay right where they are. I have a facebook account I haven't touched in 6 months.

twitter is no place for this kind of environment. Thats like when I found a provider on Myspace, full on advertising. Kids are growning up too fast and don't need this industry invading what should be a child friendly website

I stay away from any site that is visited by children, facebook, myspace, twitter... Not a good idea, IMHO

Not only should TER NOT be on it, I don't understand why providers put themselves out there as well.  To me it is just a huge sign saying COME BUST ME or COME HURT ME.  Putting all their info out there just allowing LE as well as psychos to follow them and either bust or attack them.

Does everyone remember that this is still illegal here in the US???

Would a drug dealer post where they are at so you can go buy drugs?  Wow if they are, well then LE should be busting them.

No TER should stay off Twitter.  It is already well known due to the ads in adult magazines and the bad press from it's former owners activities.

I don't twitter....so, I won't view TER's either....I already spend too much time on the computer as it is...don't need anymore social networking sites in my life...

Good idea?  Perhaps, but if I ever jump on the bandwagon, it'll be after the wagon has already left!  LOL

Bringing more attention to the hobby can only be a negative. IMHO

Just go to the home page and you will see they ALREADY have an account set up since August 25th.

If we all let admin know directly that we don't believe it's a good idea - which so far as been the consensus, then perhaps they will listen to the masses and delete their Twitter account.

But be aware IT ALREADY HAS BEEN SET UP.

...would weigh the pros and cons before making an informed decision to do so.

Personally, I have nothing against social networking sites. I am just a paranoid person in terms of BIG BROTHER type things, though LE concerns are valid.

Xoxo,
Giamarie ~ no longer Gia; back to Giamarie, with a lower case "m" and no space between Gia and marie...one word...or one name...good night...;)

By the way, I do not know how Twitter works, but if there is an option to make one's page private (as a provider), it might be wise to utilize this option to be more child friendly/safe. Just a thought, no judgments. Do you.

So sorry sweetie but NO it was not clear.  I read your post, then posted my response and happened to go to the front page (which I rarely do as I have this board bookmarked so never go to home page) and THAT is when I realized they already do have a Twitter account.

Then that is when I posted this because I know many others are like me and don't go look at the home page.

Didn't mean to offend ... was trying to explain that IT WAS ALREADY DONE - especially since everyone seemed against it, I thought they too should know it's already in existance.
