TER on Life Support

At the risk of stating the obvious, it appears TER is on life support.  Very sad indeed.  Forum participation is way down, as is the photo board.  I can't imagine this is a sustainable business model.   I hope things improve.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

The archive of TER reviews is a gold mine if they can figure out how to bring it back online. Of course as the months tick away, the data does become more stale.

... this whole place isn't what it was.  Wish it could go back...
Still around but a shadow.

and then says, "Not only was the food terrible, the portions were too small."

I strongly believe most people do not know or care to know about acquiring a VPN to continue using TER. Too bad for those that are not using resources.

I'm not taking any chances. I'm paying for Nord VPN, using the Opera browser (comes with a basic VPN), Proton Mail (encrypted) and TOR when I need detailed information from TER. If you're going to use TOR, you need to do your homework (lots of it) to determine if you feel confident enough to use it. Talk to someone who understand Cybersecurity or -- find a meet-up in your area that teaches you how. You can probably also find a group that teaches you how to use Bitcoin. If you do anything to change the way you gather information get off of gmail and anything owned by Microsoft or Gmail. ProtonMail is based out of Switzerland and the encryption/security is like nothing I've ever seen before in a free online mail service. They are looking for donations so they can continue to offer the service so please be sure to drop a dime in their bank for the good deed they're doing for you. : )

Good luck and be safe!

You don't get into TER at all from the USA anymore. You get an ISP intercept message saying TER does not accept connections from your country.

While rather an unknown/former UTR, I've been sharing with both clients and the few ladies I know about using VPNs to access TER but some just aren't wanting to go through the hassle.

I'm enjoying being able to access except when my VPN switches to a US locale.

Beating the dead horse ain’t going to revive it

In trying to revive a fucking fuck board.

It costs money to stay operational. They could have shut down and just kept pre-paid membership fees just like CV did with prepaid advertising cash. That they're still here suggests they have a plan that goes beyond relying on revenue from non-US members.

think of it as a medically-induced coma.

It's pretty obvious they aren't generating any revenue the way things stand now, so they must be looking to the future.

and while beating a dead horse is rarely productive, CPR is a form of "beating" on an otherwise dead body and bringing it back to life. Let's hope someone performs some CPR on TER and does it soon.

businesses that could sustain an 80% loss of business and remain open for very long.  It suggests that there is an end in sight and things will be made right in the foreseeable future.  Otherwise, as you say, if they DON'T have a plan, then they would have shut down, take what money was left, and fade into the sunset.

I thought the today was over a million back when USA reviews were open.

I’m guessing they are excluding all US reviews from that total.

I was happy to pay for a VPN in early April when it seemed like it would be a lifeline. It turns out, all I ended up getting was a chance to commiserate with fellow TER members over what was.

So now I am down to 3 days left on my VIP account which I had earned with reviews. Since none of the new ladies I've met in the New York metro area qualify for reviews, that will be the end of my access.

I assume that if TER revives, I'll hear about it. I am following the discussion on many different boards and in recent days, I've heard about some of the other big ones coming back after re-tooling. In some cases, there were only announcements and the re-launch is weeks away.

So I hope this is only a temporary goodbye.

You can still read and post to the boards with a Basic Membership. You don't need VIP for that.

I walked away after taking a bit of a beating and being call all kind of names and abuse. I decided to drop back in to see what was happening. I have been ok out there by myself and a few fellow pooners who I have connected with. A few of my ATF have connected me with other like-minded individuals. We swap stories and experiences.

However, I did drop in to share a new provider I cross paths with. I do tend to hang out with new providers and I do try to find ladies that we can connect on their fantasies.

So life is good but sorry to hear about TER. But then I really do not care about others. I do care about my experiences and the experiences with those I interact with. Selfish maybe but it is a selfish world.

With that said I am willing to breathe a little life back into the world of TER but what do I get in return? Meet a few other like-minded people?

Only a few would've remembered you running away with your tail between your legs. Anyway, glad to see you popped in.

I just dialed back in using vpnhub. It got me in via Canada, but costs $13 per month. If no reviews on TER, I am not sure why bother except ride out TER membership for the Comraderie! Anyone have feedback on vpnhub?

Take a look at Witopia.  They have a good plan for $70/yr, and I think one less than that which would also be safe to use.  Someone who does training for spec-ops personnel overseas told me this is what he recommends for them to use when in foreign countries.

Also, there's this about their logging policy on their Q&A page... "By design, we absolutely do not capture or store any logs of a user’s internet activities, DNS, or metadata. Furthermore, there are no logs that would allow any person or entity to match an IP address and a timestamp to a user of our VPN service."
