TER General Board

I had a subscription to a weekly legal newsletter which summarized various cases of interest, mostly in Federal courts. In February 2017 there was a blurb about something called Backpage (lol). I don't recall what it was about but it was something sexual, obviously.

I checked out Backpage and started reading ads. Besides all of the strange acronyms, abbreviations and terminology I saw that many of the ads referenced TER IDs. I went to the TER website and started poking around. I created a user account and really didn't pay much attention to the boards - I was more interested in cross referencing profiles with the Backpage ads. That led me to reading reviews.

After about 3 or 4 weeks of being able to read only the general details sections I got frustrated and paid for VIP. Once I was able to read the entirety of the reviews I was pretty shocked. Up to that point I had a stereotypical image of ladies in this business - cold, uncaring, no passion, rushing to finish, etc. but the reviews blew that image out of the water and I came to understand what GFE meant. I thought I should try it once to see for myself and just to say I did it. Well, that was 8 years ago and here I am - still going at it.

Did a friend tell you? Did you see an ad for it? Do you remember your initial reaction when discovering it? Did you lurk for a while before joining?

What's your personal, come to TER moment?

I saw an ad for TER in a magazine ad, Penthouse, if memory serves me. I was traveling extensively on business and I quickly found how good it was in finding ladies I’d like to meet. It also saved me once. I had identified someone I wanted to meet and in checking her on on TER I found she was a rip off artist.

The last time I'd done it was pre-Internet in the cathouses of the Upper East Side.
I stumbled on TER and a few other sites while doing a web search. Then I started exploring. TER had a unique combination of excellent intel on specific girls in my area, plus the boards looked like fun. So I stayed.

I read about it in a news article in the New York Times!
.
I lurked for a while before joining.

found on That Mall and Eros provider ads when I first started in P4P in 2007.   TER VIP membership started in October 2008.

A lady I seen mentioned it.

Good question!! When I first started in the biz I was very part time and advertised very little. When I decided to go full time with the research I had done getting on P411 and TER was paramount to being successful. I think I got on both sites in 2017? Not really the case anymore for being successful in this industry.

Back in the late 2000's. I lurked for awhile till I tied the knot with TER on 2001 and actually registered, Then I tried my hand on reviewing but I had no clue how to review and my initial 4 reviews didn't get approved. TER was still an infant then so it was trail and error on how to review. But looking back at those failed reviews, I can see why they weren't approved. GAWD they were awful.
My come to TER moment?? Can't say there was any one moment...I do recall there was a young lady out of West Hollywood, Italian Sonya. She was the talk of the LA boards. I read her reviews, I then met her and she was a blast. That's when it probably hit me, "Thank God for TER.

Before I knew what TER was, after a few bad encounters, I knew I had to do my research. So, I started to Google and dig before booking a lady. During one of my searches, a provider's TER appeared in the search results.

Initially, I only used the review section. I wrote and read them. I didn't stumble onto the forums for a good ten years after utilizing the reviews. I didn't really lurk too long after wandering over to read them.

No wonder why TER became so popular and thank goodness as my first few dates were so bad. I walked away until I found an ad TER took out on the back page of either Playboy or Penthouse.
.
I still remember the ad to…it was a super hot runway model type on one side, and the list of all the major U.S. cities on the other. At the bottom, all it said was “ Will She?” and the url. I lurked forever until I jumped in the pool. Lol

hearing from a massage gal that I knew that there were now sites on the internet that would rate gals and have reviews.

She said she thought she heard of one called "Dog Eat Dog". (Which site I"m sure most of you she meant.)

Anyway it took a bit of time Googling all kinds of search words, and finally I found TER.   I found a lot of other sites as well, but it became quite clear after a while that this one was the best, and I never looked back.

I used to be a regular reader of 2 sites popular in the DC area, Decadent City and  then TBD.  Had a work trip to LA and was trying to do some research and stumbled upon what I think was TER's predecessor, lareviewer.com .  Once I found it, I was hooked.

I discovered that one first and either was thru Eros or someone on ASPD recommended TER or thru Google search.

Don't remember how I stumbled on it, but I sure was hooked..  I remember being asked by DC Simone how I found her, when I went to visit her on a bitterly cold January morning at her Wisconsin Ave (across from National Cathedral incall, (I think it was like 8 F in DC)  I told her I saw her on ASPD and TER. She didn't know the former but knew the latter.

That was way back in 2003.  The board was a lot better back then.. Mostly guys who really understood mongering.

I had stumbled across TER on the internet in trying to find providers, but I didn't really understand what it was.  Somehow I managed to book a double with a couple of girls and I asked them what it was.  What I remember them saying was that it was the place where providers advertised "specials."    I had a different handle then.

I started back in 2006. My first introduction to the internet was starting a website for my Company a few years earlier. I remember bull shitting after a few beers with a few of my most senior managers about the internet.  One comes clean and says no matter what he starts researching he always ended  up on a porn sight. After he broke the ice we would compare notes and I found out about TER. Sounds crazy today for someone who did not live through these times. Now days I would have never involved myself in discussions like that and probably have to fire anyone who did. For me those were great times and a lot of fun. I don't wish new corporate life on anyone

In fact you could still get to TER by typing http://lareviewer.com.
It could come in handy in case your search history is checked - at least it won’t say “erotic.”

I came across TER completely by accident. I had started out with p4p by fooling around in strip clubs. I figured I would give escorts a try. I was checking ads online and one ad said "well reviewed and real google my number." I did and that was how I came across TER. I made it a habit to google phone numbers from that point on.

When just starting out I found a local girl by an internet search. I don't remember the exact site name, but it was similar to backpage. I remember feeling very nervous about the whole thing, not knowing what I was really going to find, was she legit, what did she really look like, etc.
Somewhere in my searches I saw a mention of TER, thankfully.  It has been a great resource to meet some wonderful ladies.

In the early 2000s I used a now defunct local review site called SDASP. At one of the meet and greets a lady mentioned TER. I did a little research and found that TER was far superior to that site so I joined. I’ve been happy here ever since.

I was back in Montreal at the time and my reviews (not many as I was a new provider) were on a local board there. I met an American client and he told me he intended to review me on TER, which was primarily a US board. He sent me a link to the review once it was posted. I was most appreciative as it did generate some business with traveling Americans, and some of those clients also posted their reviews. This opened the door for me to successfully tour in the US.   Other sites have come and gone over the years, but TER remains, along with those early reviews, and the associated fond memories.

It was 2001 and a friend i was drinking with told me about a site he was working on.

Alrwady loving me some mp action, i was intriqued. I asked the site name and here we are almost 25 years later.

Its been a wild and fun ride.
