Are there any companies or organizations that can help with providing income verification for if someone needed a car loan or for an apartment?

So, CPA pointed it out to me that falsifying the income thing would be a felony, and after I googled it, I confirmed.
I'm just a little too hopeful, I guess.
Oh well!

You would have all the documentation that you would need. Good luck in finding someone to fudge records for you.

Assuming you do then I'm not sure why you would pose the question as you did.

Since you did post this question I tend to doubt you have any other sources of income but hooking.  And that's fine...simply file your taxes like most of the gals do.

Most credit is calculated using your FICO scores as well as a cursory verification of your stated income per your tax returns and what shows up on your various credit reports (some use 3...others just 1).

Or as Panthera suggested...good luck on someone assisting you to produce false and misleading documents.  FYI...if caught that is a felony.

Why don't you file as self employed? Yea, you do have to file tax returns and all of that jazz, but at least you will have some legal paperwork for things like loans and/or rentals.

Google 'self employment' and you'll get all of the legal stuff that you need to legitimize your business. No, you won't be able to Hookers, Inc., but you can set it up as 'Gentle Kneading By Kim' (replacing Kim with your name or other "stage" name you like to use).

Thanks, CPA, I'm pretty ignorant of the law for most things.

I definitely want to avoid doing anything that would get me into heaps of trouble. D:

And present them as your evidence of income.  For example, if you went online to create fake W-2's and/or 1099's and used them as inducement to a lender to loan you money...that is fraud.  As well if you default, those documents can and will be used as evidence on the fraud.  Hence a possible felony if convicted on bank/wire fraud.

Asking someone to prepare a tax return using your real information is the way to proceed.  However just creating a "fake" return can and will present the same issues as above.

I'm currently looking as well, but deciding where I want to live now that lease is up. (i.e. which city and state, lol.)

My first priority is getting a roof over my head, so I have been researching this, and a lot of people will work with you on income.

Buying a car is a different story than renting an apartment, unless you buy from a private owner or strike gold. I haven't had luck with that.

Just paying the taxes will save you a lot of hassle and jumping through hoops. (And keep you away from even bigger trouble - tax evasion. No bueno.)

After the 08 Meltdown, a lot of places got burned for NINJA loans (no income, no job, assets).
Any legitimate car dealer finance department can spot fake paystubs.  Once it gets to the bank, it's game over.  Lots of ways to tell if the paystub is fake.  Your loan contract is bounced back to the dealer, and you are out of the car and loose your down payment.

The degree of scrutiny and documents depends on your credit:
Stellar credit, and a bank or credit union wont care about income or residency proof.
Normal credit, you'll need proof of income (POI).
Bad or subprime credit, and there are places that will do your loan without POI but be ready to put down a few thousand dollars for not the best of rides at an average APR of 24.9% depending where you live.

Get a copy of your credit and FICO score, call the dealer and ask straight out "If my FICO score is XXX, can you get me done without POI?" and see what they say.  If they say no, odds are they can refer you to a dealer that has the ability to get you done.

As far as residence: you'll probably need to find a private party landlord.  Management companies are very firm about POI up front for leasing, as well as verification of employment.  Last thing they will want is to lease to someone who does not have a steady paycheck to make rent.

Sorry to say, but you are one of what is known in the finance world as one of The Five P's: policemen, preachers, plumbers, painters, and prostitutes.   Lots of places will go out of their way to find a reason to turn your loan request down.

Good luck

When I was newly separated, I had no credit in my name and no employment.  I had been a stay at home mom for a few years.  I did have cash though.  I offered 6 months rent up front and got my apartment, no questions asked.  Not sure what your situation is or if this is helpful.

I make sure to deposit a range of at least 2k to 3k in my account every month so, when I finally move again, I can show my landlord consistent statements and say I work freelance.

I mean, it helps that I DO work on the side, have a website/business card and everything. You should be a little more vigilant with that.
