Not that I am a cheap person but do providers ever barter goods for services? Plumber, dentist,etc?

They barter service for depreciating IOUs known as "Federal Reserve Notes."

An EBay for Providers...now, what to call it?

Dentist, real estate agent, cpa, car dealership owner, owns a Gucci store etc lol then sure.

So I can return it, complain about the workmanship or have it generally maintained without drama or additional "payments".

I don't want to hop into bed with someone everytime a fixture needs fixing or my teeth need whitening.

Unless the item or service is highly desirable, extremely unaffordable (and not worth waiting for) or comes with some sort of guarantee...no, I wouldn't barter for anything.
