Have you been caught and/or outed by a SO, judgmental family/friend, employer, or LE? How did you get caught? What mistakes did you make and what advice do you have for others so that they learn from your mistakes?

Early on when my curiosity exceeded my $$$, I was in the Windy City and was checking out a massage parlor.  I was 21 years old, the entrance fee was $25 and I had  $17 to my name and carrying it.  As luck would have it, Chicago’s finest decided to pay them a visit!  I remember it as clearly as if it happened yesterday.  There were 2 cops and the Good Cop says to me as I passed through Front Door…” HeyWelcome, we are having a party”. I am thinking Oh Shit, what happens now if I am arrested!  As it turns out when they ordered me to empty my pockets to check how much cash I was carrying. One of them mentioned “Not enough to pay the entrance fee”!  The other cop was totally pissed,  Ordered me to present my DL.  This was long before DL were Photo IDs. I also had received a traffic citation, so upon arrest for speeding, the cops kept my DL as bond in order to give me an incentive to resolve my situation.  Bad Cop pulls out a 3”x5” Index Card and starts writing down my information.  After he finished he handed my Temporary DL back to me and threatened to arrest me if I was caught in a Massage Parlor again.  As scared as I was, I knew they could not hold me.  I just said OK.  That was the only thing I said during this encounter.  I learned early on to just STFU.   If this would happen again today. Again just STFU!

Ah, Wells St. in Old Town?
Chicago used to have a huge convention business, where married out-of-town rubes would want to have "fun".
During election season (or prompted by Karen's complaints), the cops would crack down for a few months, then it was back to business as usual.

Storefront AMPS's were fun back in the day. The whole dance around "extras" and the thought that the PoPo could burst in at any time added to the buzz..

Pretty Close.  It was actually 670 N. La Salle St called The Harem where I had my encounter with LE. Next block over at 720 N. Clark was Sultans Palace, which changed hands and was called LeMarquis.  A few miles away at 3402 Southport was Queens For Kings.  I remember the one in Old Town was called Michelle’s Place, but I don’t remember what it was called before Michelle’s.  Anyways 4 out of 5 isn’t too bad, considering I am close to my 7th decade on this planet!

Ah, think a cabbie took me to the Harem at the tender age of 16, when I could slip out of the house without the 'rents noticing.  An entire 2 weeks salary ($60?) to get with a bag as old as my mom.

Went to NYC back in the glory days, hit the 2nd ave spas with "real" money from a co-op job. Now that I'll remember til my last breath..

Forgot to mention Pandora’s Box.  When I visited at 18 yo, it was on Clark Street. When I was in my early 20’s they moved to a Victorian House on the corner of Ohio St and Wabash Ave. On the ground floor was Pizzeria Due,  upstairs on the 3rd floor was Pandora’s.  By this time I had left Chicago for Memphis TN.  A few years later while visiting , there was a big News Report on Channel 2; the owner of Pandoras had been murdered, and the perpetrators had dumped his body down the garbage chute in a high rise Near North Condo.  I am not sure if this murder has ever been solved!

As the heat increased in the city limits, several American Massage Parlors migrated to the NW and Near west suburbs.  The only 2 I remember was The Tender Touch in UN incorporated Lincolnshire, and of course Smokers Health Club at 2337 N. Mannheim Rd in Melrose Park…..many good times there….late 70’s to mid 80’s.

One time the girl stayed a day past her hotel booking and  failed to go to the desk to pay.  Hotel staff knocked on the door and would not take cash through the door.  The girl made up a story about her friend bleeding in the bathroom, hoping staff would go away.  Next thing we know an ambulance arrives and hotel staff open the door with a master key.  Police also show up and I am held separately from the girl.  I say nothing.  Three hours later police walk both of us out of the hotel.  Cost me a $40 parking ticket for meter expired.

Another time I just happened to be the the John on my way in during a planned bust.  I was held outside of the hotel and the bust was initiated.  My phone was grabbed from me and used to call the girl, I found out later from the girl.   After an hour I was told to turn around and put hands against the cruiser.  Yikes.  Nothing happened, I think they just did not want me to see the girl being taken out.   I found out later she was arrested.  I was given my phone back and sent on my way.

The first time was because the dumb-ass hotel mailed the bill to my house, and she opened it, saw that phone calls were made from the room (This was long before cell phones were common) and called the number listed and spoke to my escort, which really made her day I'm sure.  Lesson:   Don't give hotels your home address.   Use your work address or a friend's.

The second time, only a few months later, my wife saw my car parked on the street outside a hotel in my home town.  She went in, showed her ID and got the room number.   You can probably imagine the rest.  Lesson:   Pay to put the car in a garage.

I grew up in St. Louis.  Back in the day there was a legendary hotel called Corral Courts.

As the web site says "The No Tell Motel with a Touch of Class".  Each room was a bungalow with it's own garage.

Place was torn down around 1995.  I never frequented but the place was legendary.

...caught you twice. I would think after the first time, there would be no wife! Wondering if she stayed after visit 2?

I learned early on and from this site actually to STFU no matter what.

Reluctant to post the gory details but, LE shows up at hotel room as I was on my way out.  While it was clear what was going on, I was polite but didn't tell them a fucking thing.  They hammered me but got nothing.  They let me go.

I've had a couple of close calls in my time, but never been full on busted. Early on after I discovered CV and Eros, I found this knockout Asian American superstar. She responded to my initial email about pricing and availability, and my girlfriend went through my email and found it. I was able to convince my girlfriend that she was a stripper that I wanted to hire for a house party we had coming up. She remarked that her rate seemed really high for a stripper, but it never came up again. It probably never occurred to her that I might be seeing escorts, because we were both really young at the time.

My only run-in with LE happened when I first moved to OC. I had been spending some time checking out the local scene, and one thing I had never seen back home were nuru Massage parlors. One day I was leaving after my appointment and as I walked out the front door there stood 2 cops talking to 2 Karens. They all looked up at me so I pulled out my phone, put my head down and walked the other way. I didn't want them to know which car was mine, so I walked across the parking lot to a fast food joint. As I was standing inside ordering 5 or 6 girls walked in, including the one that just jacked me off! I never tried to go back so I don't know what happened to the spot, but that was a close one for sure! If I had booked an hour instead of 30 minutes, I would have been caught red handed. Or she would have.

So what have I learned? You can never be too careful. Always log out of your email before you close the browser! Don't linger. Get in, nut and get out. More than anything, trust your gut. Dont think with your dick. Scams, stings, robs, are all very easy to identify. If something looks too good to be true, it always is. Have a dedicated burner phone. If you have a SO, keep it somewhere they'd never find it. Fake name, random email, no credit cards, nothing that can be traced back to you. And never send deposits!!
