STD without BBFS?

I'd like to see a follow-up poll:

Choose one:

__ I have gotten BBFS and an STD from a provider.

__ I have gotten BBFS but not an STD from a provider.

__ I have not gotten BBFS but have gotten an STD from a provider.

__ I have not gotten BBFS and have not gotten an STD from a provider.

Obviously this could be taken further, specifically as to DATY and BBBJ, but what I've suggested would be a useful follow-up to a couple of recent survey questions, I would think.

The one I would be most interested in would be "Have you had BBFS with a provider since 1985?"  I know almost everyone here has been indulging in this fun little hobby far longer than my 6 months, but that last poll really disturbed me.  And ladies, hear me now and listen to me later.  When a guy tells you he didn't know the condom broke, HE'S LYING.  I tried to imagine how I would react if I somehow found myself engaged in BBFS with someone other than my SO.  Even in my imagination it was pretty damn difficult to force myself to stop.  Pussy is like Pringles.  Once you pop, you just can't stop.

As I indicated earlier, I have had BBFS (as well as BBBJ, DFK, and DATY) with multiple providers, including providers from very high risk groups.

I have never contracted an STD.

Do I recommend the level of risk I have played at? Certainly not.

Indeed, maybe everyone else should be extra careful: I may have used up all the "hobbyist's luck" that was floating around...

O.

Based on the responses to the past "have you had a STD" questions (with the rate of infection being significanly LOWER than that of the general population), I'm guessing that either:

1. A lot of people are asymptomatic, or do not recognize the symptoms of relatively mild STDs, or

2. they are awfully good at lying to themselves.

I don't know why people get so worked up into a froth over protection and STDs in the "hobby".  This is a risky game, and anybody should be able to figure out how to reduce risks.  If that isn't enough, get out of the game.
