I alternate tests every two weeks. $20 every other week towards a happy, safe, and clean me. One week BV. Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and Syphilis. Two weeks later the HPV, Herpes, and Trich. I get tested every two months for HIV when I get my Syphilis test. County health clinics are awesome to get these tests at. They also are completely confidential. You can also use Planned Parenthood, one of my other favs. Everyone who is high risk should get tested frequently.

I get a checkup about twice a year.  I use an alias at the County Health Center.

Providers in Tijuana are required to get a monthly checkups.  Studies by Dr. Bellis of UC San Bernadino indicate it is effective and the STD rate is much lower among providers in Tijuana than in San Bernadino county.(Girls in TJ get arrested and bars have trouble if a chica doesn't have a current health card.) Other studies indicate the checkup system used in Nevada where prostitution is legal work well.

A similar law--or similar voluntary practice--would benefit all of us.

I get the full battery of tests, every three months at the rate that I'm seeing providers.
