Horrible news. One of the GREAT photographers and nicest people passed away 2 days ago.
Apparently he was battling some kind of blood cancer and recently had a bone marrow transplant.
I met him several times. Just a wonderful person. Totally professional not to mention very talented. Every lady I know who shot with him LOVED him.  He will be sorely missed.

It was posted on another site by a very reputable person. This is very sad news. He worked with so many woman for many, many years. Every provider who spoke of him had nothing but wonderful things to say. RIP indeed. Great post!

disrespectful to state that the OP is NOT lying because you have corroborated it with someone "reputable?".  This guy has been a TER member here since 2006.  Why is he not reputable on his own?   Everything is passive aggression with you.  Lighten up Bobby.  Geez.

...and I said jokingly, I wished I had been a photographer because Aldo sure has seen a lot!  She didn't mince any words at all and said he's a wonderful professional but not a very nice guy.  So take that for what it is...

I think it is quite acceptable to corroborate a report from another anonymous poster. It doesn't imply the OP is lying, but since there is so much misinformation and deception going around on the internet and particularly social media, it's become a necessity to validate such statements using additional sources before giving them credence.  

I FIRST saw news of Aldo's passing on X com. That was posted by a provider who was close to Aldo and his wife. I confirmed with one of my gal pals who shot with him several times and called his wife. And it was posted today on another board by a personal friend of Aldo. I don't see that anyone was questioning my bona fide or the accuracy of my post. So please leave any bickering for another time , place and context. I find it disrespectful to the memory of a man uniformly described as a GENTLEMAN , a great guy and a total professional. Peace be with you.

As for Snafu's post I know a LOT of ladies who shot with him and had him set up their websites. I NEVER heard a single bad word about him. None. Zero. Zip . Nada. And having met , spoken to and texted with him a number of times I have no reason to question their opinions. On the contrary. It simply confirmed my already high opinion .

I loved him dearly. Since he did my website and I last texted with Aldo on July 6, I heard back tonight from a friend of his since high school who is helping his wife right now.  He fought a brave fight and will be missed by many.

Aldo will be missed sadly!

He was a friend and mentor as will as great photographer. The photos he took of me years ago up until present changed my family’s life. He will be sadly missed. Absolutely top tier! His battle is over! Condolences to his family and wife.

It's too bad certain trolls here feel the need to run this guy down when he's dead.

I met him when visiting my better half in the South back in 2018. I shot with him twice during that visit. He was very professional. Rest in paradise. 🙏🏽
