If she was really hinting about this site that means she probably suspects that you hobby or is trying to find a way to approach the subject that she escorts.  I'm not sure why you are assuming that her finding out would end the relationship but that's your hang-up, not mine....

The other possibility is that the TER she is referring to is not this site...in this case I would keep my mouth shut if I were you.  I know what you mean about honesty but most guys who hobby keep it from wives, GF's, SO's and even casual acquaintances. The bottom line is that for as long as you pay for sex you will be hiding that fact from most of the people you know.

I cooked up a hypothetical situation that could be interesting.

I have been dating a girl off and on for 3 years. I like her alot, but we never really had a full on relationship.
I just figured since she has alot to offer a man, I would be lucky if she decided to settle down with me.
So I take what I can get.
Just recently I got the impression she may be a provider. She hinted the fact she used a social forum called ter.
I played stupid, but it was obvious this was her way of telling me.
Here in lies the big question.
I know from what I have read here that if I tell her I hobby. It will most likely end a relationship I don't want to end.
It's the first time this game has interfered with my real life.
I hate lying. Never had to about this before.
What would you do?

and I never said that providers "do not date". It's simply an opinion based on my experiences.  Casual dating is one thing.  Getting serious with a guy and telling him the truth about what you do is a big hump to get over and, since most guys can't handle it, most providers don't go there.  

Note: There are no absolutes in life and I'm not claiming any here either. Some are married, some have SO's.  Most don't. As I said, simply an opinion.

Do you want to swallow the blue pill and continue to live in blissful ignorance...or swallow the red pill, have full knowledge but then have to face up to your newly-gained knowledge and have to live with it. Needless to say, there are advantages and disadvantages to both sides.
A recent, now former, ATF of mine had shared her personal knowledge with me: full real name, phone number, email, address. After seeing her for a number of repeat visits, I thought I should learn more about this person I was seeing so often and with whom I was starting to feel close to. I did exactly what providers are supposed to do with our personal information: research us and check us out to see if we're safe. I told her I was doing that, so as not to spook her, and I encouraged her to do the same on me with my personal information.  To make a long story short, just extensively Googling her (no hacking involved, as she subsequently accused me of), I discovered that she had a rather extensive, checkered past (criminal convictions and mental illness). It didn't make a difference to me or my attitude about her. She seemed like a changed, reformed woman (but then you never really know with a provider, who are professionals at acting, among other things.) I never brought this new-found knowledge up with her, thinking she may want to discuss this at an appropriate time of her choosing, if and when our "relationship"/friendship developed to that point sometime in the future. And, of course, i didn't want to embarass or humiliate her. However, in retrospect, I think that her suspicions that I had learned so much about her just poisoned our relationship that she stopped seeing me. She
wouldn't even allow me a chance to dissuade her of the hacking accusations or to perhaps discuss some of the other
issues and allow our relationship/friendship to grow and evolve to the next level, as it usually does when people
discuss, deal with, learn to accept, and put behind their respective pasts. Good luck, I hope things work out for you the way you would like them to.

...disagree with your conclusion that providers do not date in the "civie" life.  In fact I know many providers who have SOs and I married one (ok, that was eons ago).  That does not the change the fact that a bored hound always causes trouble....but I would like to meet his hypothetical woman.  Send her on tour to MN and she will forget about the hound.  LMAO.

Why would she drop ter in conversation unless she is trying to open a conversation?  I have no advice cause I really have no clue what is going on, but if I did, and I was the provider...well first off, I don't think I could have a relationship and not let the person know what I do...but if that is what I did for a living and I was in a relationship, I sure wouldn't expect monogamy from my partner...sticky case you are in there...you could be outing yourself on only an assumption that she is a provider...I would see if you can get more proof if I was you

Tell her you have heard that terminlology before, and ask her how she knows what it is. If this is the type of girl you would give the hobby up for, than you could always say you used to do it. Not a lie if you give it up.

If she is a provider, then chance are she does already know and just waiting for you to admit it. Tuff call but I think I would keep it quiet.
