I don't think you can patent something that's been in the public domain for centuries.  Not a bad idea though.

Why anyone would believe that you could make your cock bigger by taking a pill is beyond me. In fact, so many of the spam letters I receive hawking every kind of get rich quick schemes, penis enlargement, viagra, whatever, I consider to be just snake oil and a rip-off. Spam that I receive get's the same action, the delete icon.

I really enjoy my ISP's new web based e-mail which grabs almost all the known spam and keeps it out of my mailbox until I'm ready to empty it. Since it is known spam, I just click on "Empty Entire Folder" and the spam goes down the drain.

I don't think spam will ever end and to some degree I think it has a useful purpose for some. I do think that one day the ad people will get the fact that like car alarms, no one pays much attention to spam and they will have to find some other way to reach their market. And they will... Long live Madison Avenue!
