Today I contacted a provider for the first time. I've been lurking the ads here for a while and just recently signed up. My chosen provider is well reviewed here. We had a nice chat on the phone, she had returned my call from a few hours before. She was out of town but returning in about two weeks so she said call her then. I asked her about screening and she said she doesen't pre screen.

This really suprised me. I said, ok I'll call you in a couple of weeks.

Well reviewed girl but does not want a screen? Should I be worried?

You do the research YOU need to do. Screening does nothin' to protect or guarantee anyone.
It's been debated to death. It's just an idea that comforts. Kinda like goin' to church.

This is a story I've told before.

I contacted a local lady via email. I gave her only my first name and email address. That's it.

Within mere hours, I heard from ANOTHER local lady (who I had seen) asking why I had booked this lady instead of her! (There was a reason which was later resolved.)

Obviously, ladies talk. Sometimes, in fact, they talk a lot. Maybe more than is strictly necessary.

But the bottom line is that it is pretty obvious that even though she asked for nothing directly, she had managed to screen me rather thoroughly.

So you can't assume that because a lady asks you for no data, that she hasn't talked to some friends.

I don't think so....half the people who contact me from BP or CV I don't get the time to really because usually when they call they want to see me within like the hour lol  but if it's where I won't see him until way later that day or the next day or in a few days yeah I do my best to screen.

You say she didn't want to pre-screen, not screen.

My take was she is out of town and will screen you once she is home and the two of you have a certain date in mind.

Sometimes and email addy and a phone number is all it takes.  Plenty of screening can go on without the client ever knowing about it.

Possibly because she's out of town, and you won't be seeing her for awhile she doesn't want the info now. She may ask for your info when you call her again much closer to when you see her.

I screen at the present time when I know I'm going to have an appointment.  Prescreening may mean she will screen you at the present time as well.    She may also have a screener which is paid per client. She may want to make sure you'll book with her at the time of screening. My interpretation of course. Paying a screener can be a costly when the hobbyist decides not to see the provider.  


I am sure this gal does screen. We all have our own methods.

an actual appointment has been set. It takes time to screen, and so she probably wants more assurance that you are actually going to set something up before she screens you. Plus, if she's out of town, it may be more difficult for her to screen you, and keep your information safe.

Oh, I hope you don't plan on reviewing your time with her, now that you've told everyone she doesn't screen

Many good points here. I'm going to go ahead and call her back when she returns to town. If she wants to screen then (or not) it's fine with me.

And in the interest of being descrete I won't review her due to bringing this up here. Ooops had not considered that...

I phoned a girl, she answered right away, and we made arrangements to see each other later that same day.  She did not perform any screening what so ever.

When the hour of our appointment arrived, we got together and had a good time.  Afterwards, I asked her why she didn't screen me. After all, I said, "how did you know I wasn't a cop?"

Her reply: "I didn't."

I'll give her points for honesty.

Some People like to live DANGEOUSLY!!!

I guess it is her choice to screen if she wants to. I personally think that taking a chance like that is playing roulette with LEO, and for that matter, her life.

Lots of well reviewed ladies don't screen.

To each his own.  I'm a strong beleiver in screening, it has kept me from seeing bad guys in the past.  I can't speak for other girls but I can speak for me.  My life and well being are far too valuable to take chances.

Some of us are so good at screening that we could be P.I.'s.   You may think she did NO screening but in those 2 hours from the time you left a message and the time she returned your call, she may have checked you out and knew all there was to know about you.   Ya' just never know.    

I must say...I am one of those PI types!!  LOL.
