At least most of the girls I play with are into them. That's about it on the device side of things for me.

Most "mature" people...ahem...upon stumbling onto something different and quickly realizing it's not for them don't knock it, they merely "change the channel" rather than make an ultra dramatic shout out about them being better than us all. As I've been on here, I have noticed exactly what you are describing, although it is annoying at best, it's probably indicative of any forum anywhere. Perhaps the boards you've been visiting are better than average, in which case you should count yourself as fortunate.

If you hang around long enough, you'll identify the usual suspects and you'll find that you just don't read their posts. I actually had one gentleman PM me to explain that the majority of his posts are sarcastic, and that a response he had made was meant that way. I'm a little like the Sheldon character on the Big Bang Theory ( a funny show if you're a nerd like me) in that I don't always pick up on sarcasm, especially so in here because it's not always as obvious without voice inflection and body language.

I share your distaste of the bashing, every once in a while someone definitely deserves it, but I'd rather just ignore their rant as it's like banging your head against the wall if you try to reason with them.
