If the Evangelicals ever regained the kind of power and influence they had during the early part of the George W. Bush administration, you would see much of the same sort of repressive backwards thinking, only the rules would be proclaimed in English, and the name being invoked would be Jesus, not Allah.

In either case, you're looking at one of the more deleterious effects of religious fundamentalism.

I would hate to see any chilling effect on dicussions where politics and religion are entirely germane to the hobby / sexuality just because of the squeamishness of a very few, who are free to simply ignore the thread.

travel to, or volunteer to take a work transfer to another country. I feel really sorry for some of the guys that I've talked to, attracted by the extra dollars they would make, volunteered to go and work in countries with very strict moral codes, and didn't have, or could take an SO. What enjoyment they did receive from the little sexual companionship they came up with, was counter-balanced with fear and dread of being caught.
