You are onto something here, but I think you are jumping the gun.  There are various segments and price points in our business like any business. There are the bottom feeders who go the SW route. Then there is the BP crowd.  Then there are people in the medium range $300-500. Then there are high rollers who think sex gets better at $800-2K range.  

The dolls may be able to satisfy some of the people some times.  May be they just want to check it out for curiosity reasons, or use it as a kink. Some may use it so as not to go over their monthly budget, but its hard to imagine that a machine could actually take place of a real human being. So it may have some effect on how much money gets spent in the business as a function of number of mongers engaging in the activity, but there is no chance of wiping out the occupation one bit...

People are always going to want to connect with other real people.  Hell, otherwise we'd all own fleshlights if we just wanted the feeling without the connection, the need to dominate, the need to submit, the need to be surprised.  Can tech ever be that good?  I doubt it.  Using software and hardware to have sex is basically a guy sitting in his room masturbating.  We all do that already yet still call on our friendly neighborhood providers.

It will be massively depopulated by a well orchestrated third World War and economic foreclosing of bank loans leaving only an elite ruling class and a closely regulated and early euthanized slave wage class to attend to their material and service needs.
