I'd love for her to go with me. One, because it's her! Two, because we would be away from the family because his house will be packed with everyone else. Besides, I'll make a fucking scene with all those damn people(family) under those conditions.

Growing up in CA. has spoiled me on climate for sure. San Diego is,by far,the best climate i've experienced to date.

One time went to St. Louis for some logistics and profile training for my old job. The guy who was training me, his secretary 'volunteered' to entertain me while I was there.
Did a lot of drinking. Saved the labels for my expense report because it was easy to peel them off. Got back to the hotel at around 5AM and had to be there for training at 7.
I learned the term 'yawning in technicolor' after said training.
Was supposed to fly back that day, but she invited me to stay the rest of the weekend!
Dude. Been drinking beer and rum all day. Neighbor came over with a bottle of Scotch and left with two drinks left.

Unless she doesn't know how to behave in public! LOL I would be honored to have my ATF at any public/family function. The only concern would be explaining how a guy like me hooked up with such an awesome lady. I can live with that!
