I seemed to have got my name on the fling.com list and am now receiving lots of requests from ladies. But then the site wants me to pay to read them. Any thoughts as to whether this is worth anything?

Either your email got leaked or someone signed up using your email account.

All the "ladies" that are sending you messages are really guys behind these profiles. They are known as webmasters and they get paid for promoting these websites after you pay to signup.

You can try if you want but after you pay for a membership, you will notice that all these "ladies" mysteriously vanish just as fast as they appeared.

You are better off with real dating sites like match, eharmony, chmistry etc. There are also a handful of legit sugardaddy sites out there but many others are also scams. You have to be careful of scam profiles even within the legit sites.

Never send money to anyone, never share your personal info with anyone and always meet in public the first time at least. The same rules that apply to our lifestyle apply in the real world. Just common sense.

They are all variations on the P4P theme, whether it be a sugar daddy site or something that is dressed up as something else, such as Miss Travel.

AFF isn't a scam per se, but I'm sure there is a lot of "filler" women on there ot make it seem like there's a lot of hot women. In my experience, the women are largely average looking. I've met three off of AFF and had sex with each, but none were really anything to write home about, with the exception of the latest one, who after sifting through lots of crap really seems like a diamond in the rough. Too bad we're both married...

As a guy, it's also very hard to get noticed - the latest woman said that she would get hundreds of emails a week, and she didn't even have a picture up....

AFF is for real, but yes, most of it is bullshit. I have had to sift through tons of crap to get a real date. But it has worked numerous times for me. I just opened a new account there as a couple with a gf that is bi. We have not made a move yet but it seems we get a lot more legit responses as a couple than I did as a single man. Way more.
