One of my daughters friends when she was young had a parent that breast fed my daughters friend until she entered the 1st grade.  My wife was shocked when my daughter told her that her friend breast feeds while she visits on a play date.  When my wife went over to ask that she at least tell my daughter to come home during that time she seemed very non shalant about the entire things, saying it was no big deal...just as my wife was going to leave the little the 6 year old girl walks right up to mom, lifts her shirt and starts in while they are standing by the door talking.  My wife came home speehless.

So I, being a expecting provider, recieve many emails asking if im lactating. I think many men are confused here. Women do not actually lactate until after the child is born (all depends, within 24-78hrs) Some women do release a fluid called colostrum from there breast during any stage of pregnancy that can be confused with "milk" but in fact it is not. Many dr.s will refer to it as "liquid gold" because it contains much needed nutrients for the infant during those first days before a womens milk comes in.

So please, dont be angry with me, or think im lying when I say im not lactating. I can not control what my body does. But I am happy to say I will be happily breastfeeding once the lil one arrives. Yes, then I will be a "lactating provider" And yes ive asked the OB's in my drs office this question.

If your a guy who still wants the thought of it being "milk" then sorry for the info here, but continue thinking away!

happy hobbying!

I have nursed on pregnant women - pural - more than once.  I don't doubt some preggos don't milk, but some do, for whatever reason.  Maybe I suck too hard.

If the demand was so great for lactating providers, she may have just kept producing.

prob 100% the case here.

oddly Ive even see a woman produce milk 5 years after her child was born.
