Just as any other woman would. Remember, we're no different than 'other' women when it comes to life and living. We have jobs, school, kids, family and friends, etc. just like every other woman.

Different things work for different providers.  I've learned that the healthiest relationships are those that hold no secrets.

Hard to believe their SO wouldn't know.  And a bad idea to keep it a secret from him.

I have heard of women who DON'T have SO's outside of their professional relationships, by choice, to avoid complications.  That strikes me as sad... devoting yourself to work at the expense of yourself, instead of complimentary to your personal self...
there are some things you just can't get from a client.

I have heard of those who hide the info from SO's... bad, bad idea!  Relationships are all about honesty, trust, and unconditional love.  How can that happen when you hide such a large part of who you are and what you do in this life?  How can you have a healthy relationship when one partner is preventing another from making their own informed decisions?  (I could say much more here, but perhaps another time).

I hope that most providers allow for the SO (note the difference from being reliant on an SO), and are honest about themselves.

You know?  It's ironic we bring this up as some possible kind of condemnation because we wouldn't dream of telling our S.O.

Here's a good side pole: how many hobbiests have S.O.'s at home?  Are you honest about your extra curricular activities?

We're a swinging couple and are open to each other..but it's ironic because she would freak if she knew about the hobby part!

It can be done, but a really good relationship between provider and bf or hubby, eee not to often IMHO. I now of a provider just last year that invited me to move in up in Canada, I declined due to personnal reasons, behold she is now apparently engaged to someone who she was seeing also. Hard to make the call on this one.

Can't be easy on either the provider or the S.O. I always wonder what my ATF tells her S.O. (if she has one), Especially when I call and she has to tell her S.O. she's going on vacation to a warm and (relatively) exotic locale.
