Yes. I would like everyone to believe me when I'm serious.
I would be dreaming if I expected everyone to agree with me.
I thought that was the reason this forum exists?
So others can challenge eash others views, and enlighten..
That's why I'm here anyway.
Everyone will look at a particular post and will for themselves determine how they want to interpret it. If you need "everyone" to like it, or take it seriously..sorry
The rest of your comments...yep, that's why most of us are indeed on TER...or any board for that matter.
If a guy posts on a board a general question for women with long legs.
A provider responds... I look at her site. Quality of site is good/ well written. Pics are awsome.
Another guy responds to her saying how hot she is.
I agree. Then ask how to add her to my favorites list. Because I honstly didn't know.
(Most of the time I surf on a smartphone, and you cant see the whole screen.)
Is that a shill? It was unintentional.
That is more of a "I like what I like" thread, and naturally providers might chime in. I don't usually respond to the "Look at my ass, tits, legs" threads, because I am here all the time anyway. No need to participate in those types of threads when all a guy has to do is click on my reviews. I don't post a link to my site ever, unless I am trying to make a point about some idiot using it for his commentary.
Hi,
Correct!!! My threads & posts follow the rules, yes, I talk about my ATF's, current & former, but I don't name them , or provide a link!!
If I have to say anything nice to the lady - comment her on her looks, wardrobe, website, then I PM her.
That is the safest thing to do.
I personally don't think you shilled, but what you did publicly, could have been achieved privately as well. It just avoids a lot of mess. Sometimes perception is everything.

... pm is the way to go. Then you can say all you want and it is not a shill because it is a private opinion.
There is a time and purpose for PMs, and not.
Not every poster is a VIP member, and I have seen a lot of bad feelings evolve because someone sends a PM to someone who can't read it, but the sender assumes they are being blown off.
Also, PMs educate ONE person; posts on here educate many. The main purpose of this site is education, and too much limiting of opinion/info sharing undermines the purpose.
"Shilling" is not a clear black/white determination most the time. It is usually a shade of gray. To me shilling is an attempt to significantly market a lady. An occasional "Wow, nice photo", or "Glad to see you post again--I missed you", or "Hope you get to Omaha when you visit Nebraska" are not shilling in my mind.
I suspect you disagree because you seem to view things more B&W, but that is what this is about--different opinions and you are entitled to yours.
One of the things that is inevitable with any organization is rules, some of which always seem to be contrary to purpose of said organization. In my mind, this site's primary function is to exchange information about the providers here. Personally, I appreciate seeing someone who's opinion I trust raving about a girl he's seen lately! It helps to reinforce or corroborate the other information that's available. I've never understood why this is a bad think, if you don't want to read about it, don't open the post and move on!
Interesting in that some people probably do this purposely while others inadvertently. Commenting on a provider, her web site or her comments would seem to be reasonable in the public forii but, inserting "review-like" comments into the public forii would seem to be shill behavior. We've all seen the folks who agree with comments, like pictures, etc and would likely not take it as shill behavior. We've all seen the sycophants and suck-ups who comment every time their current stalking project posts something. It's all degrees.

TER views it as an ad post for the lady in question and we are not allowed to put up ad posts. Ultimately the best way to find out what others think of a lady here on TER is to PM the other guys that have reviewed her. As with most rules here on TER, it can all be traced back to them wanting us to pay for VIP membership...
You're right because, in the end, it's all about the green. Whether it's TER or the providers. Always good to keep in mind.

There's a few others that rival his shilling...but none on the GD board (well Cubbie is making some noise).
I don't follow the local boards except for Chicago...but I'm sure there are those guys on each board.
Hi,
I play by the rules & don't name anyone, nor provide a link!! As London, stated "I like what i like"!! If I have a woman to reference, in my current posts , to get a point across, I will continue to do so under the guidelines set forth by TER !!

Needs to be a thread starter to qualify as such.
You just complimented her, wich is not only cool, but relatively expected on a fuck board.
If someone called you a shill for what you described- Fuck'em.
The way I do it is that I care only as much as I respect the other person.
I tend to find your comments spot on most of the time.
But as you said..respect as a member and poster has to be earned.
You'll never have 100% approval from any group of people...but then, I don't give a shit either.
Heck...most presidents tend to have less than 50% of the popular vote in an election. And those guys certainly don't seem to be lacking any self-esteem LOL
There are only a handfull. Why?

A handfull of people. Not many have the guts to be honest here. Even the most honest can hide behind a veil of comedy.
Thats me..,, and you.
Oh, EOM
DC "thinks" he's great. lmao
Sorry, sometimes I just can't resist low hanging fruit. lol
from the looks of it, it's not s shill.
if I am not sure, I consult the self-help for more info.

I think intent is an element of the 'crime' of shilling. The good natured, and perhaps a bit flirty banter that you described is far from that standard of culpability. I actually read the thread in question when it posted on the New York board. The idea of shilling never crossed my mind. It just reminded me of how much I dislike tall leggy blonds.
I was thinking of having that tattooed just above the pubes, actually. Or maybe shilling is more along the lines of Potter Stewart's explanation of porn: "I know it when I see it!"
Please don't make me write a brief.
Penis erectus non habet conscientiam.
usually by not disclosing their real interests in what lies behind their "freely" given endorsement.
In other words, if Sexysally posts an ad and I rejoin with: "She's a real knockout", and I happen to be her pimp, that's a shill.
What we often (inaccurately) call shilling is just guys being nice to the gal and (hopefully) helpful to fellow clients by giving an endorsement to the gal with our flirty comments.
That is a different issue from violating TER's advertising guidelines by starting a thread about a gal which is basically an ad for her - which may or may not be a shill, but is obviously contrary to TER policy - as I once found out in my apprenticeship on here many years ago.
(still not a lawyer and not very good with Latin either)
Unless you know the poster, one man's shil is another man's good input! Again, exchanging info seems to be a major purpose here so I"m for free reign and sort the crap out yourself by looking at who's saying what!
Which is why TER's policies regarding ad postings should be adhered to.
I didn't think it was being a shill. But I obviously don't know, so I am curious reading the responses here.
Ashley responded with some information about her clothing size, and I said, "See Ashley, she is drop-dead gorgeous" or something like that.
I guess I am thinking because Ashley responded, that isn't being a shill. But whether it was or not, the intention was to give a recommendation on someone I know and have seen. That's all. If that kinda post does more harm than good, then I won't do it again. The objective is to help the OP. Nothing else.
if it is still there. Not that I care nor reported it but with the way that board is being watched I will be surprised if it stays up long.
