There was the Moulin Rouge that was put together in the Pacific Northwest (?) that I heard was fabulously successful..
Don't know if she plans on putting together another or not?

After chatting on these boards a bit, I truly would enjoy meeting some of the personalities behind the handles.  I've confided in no one that I partake in these activities, and would find it interesting to meet some of the ladies and gentlemen of this endeavor in a relaxed, social setting.

How about this:  a social gathering with everyone's handle on a white board.  The task is to meet / greet, and after 2 hours, everyone makes the best guess of who's who.  Since some of the ladies have their faces on the websites, that's the easy part.  But how many could put the handle to the face for the men would be the challenge.

I may even stuff some socks in my pants so everyone thinks I'm orthodx.

I've only met one other gentleman in this business, and that was by accident.  My date and I ran into him at a restaurant and were introduced at the table.  Odd at the time, but now I appreciate the fact that I've at least met someone in the same line of interest.

Not being one for discretion, I suppose I should say this sounds like a great idea. Except I know from previous experience that it may be better to NOT know people that partake in activities such as ours, face to face. My humble $0.02

While it might be interesting to find out that other hobbyists are people I know in my community, I think we would all prefer to remain anonymous to the extent that is possible.  But for those for whom there is no risk, I say have a great time.  Please let the board know if you run into your father in law, father, brother, boss, pastor, family doctor, kid's high school principal, the local bank manager, etc....

Personally, I'd really love to run into my bank branch manager; she is seriously hot.  Oh, well... *sigh*

*LOL*

I think this is a great idea and certainly would want to participate. FWIW, Bebedoll in Chicago has a section of her web site where she did a "participative" get together -- from reading her website, I'm not sure if she's planning another in December, or not -- it's a bit vague. I'm urging her to go ahead because I'd like to be there.

It might be fun, but keeping LE in mind, we'd have to have some very specific rules about what NOT to talk about.  You know those pricks are going to show.
