Can someone give me some idea how to erase my search heading.... When I go under "REGIONAL BOARDS"  for example and search for provider or clit... Then when I go to search again it remembers all the searches ?

Any sugestions ?

the FAQ for Newbies Board is the best place for procedural questions about TER.

Ah thanks but not a newbie, If your not sure what I am asking then let me try again, Also I went to the newbie board and the answer I need; its not there.

When you list a topic for search ( like DFK  for example)  as you would try and look up the latest articles / posts on DFK; and that would be under the heading you were at... say in GENERAL DISCUSSION or REGIONAL BOARDS...ie, you would search for those posts about DFK under say Phoenix for example..

The website remembers your search words or topic so that THAT EACT PHRASE; always come up as a search item...

I am asking how you get the website to NOT remember the search items you listed ?

the website won't let me.  When I click search on ANY board, none of my previous searches come up as a default.  Its blank waiting for me to fill in the keywords.  Could it be a feature of your operating system that is saving you prior searches?

When I try to search for a word and click the 'Search For' box, I get a drop down list of words I have previously searched for.  I can choose one of those words or type another one.  When I start to type a word, I get a different list of words that start with the first letter.  For example, if the first letter of the search word is "d", I'll get a drop down of previous searches that start with "d" such as "diversion" and "disinfectant."  It's the same when you search for authors as well.

It's also the same with other search sites, such as torrent sites.  When I click the 'Search' box, I get a list of previous searches.  Having said all that, I don't know how to erase previous searches.  But then again, I don't care because it doesn't bother me.

I don't have the problem either if I attempt to recreate. I would report it as a problem to the admins and see if they notice anything with your account.

You might try clearing your browser cache as well -- particularly the form data setting for cached data.

It might be your browser is keeping the history. Try setting your browser to private when you're on TER or set you browser to not keep history.

I use Firefox on my phone. Whenever I am on TER I have the browser set to private. It doesn't keep anything I do. I do the same on my kindle using its private setting.

Clearing your history and cache will likely work but you have to do it every time and it wipes everything. Using the browser private setting lets you make it site specific.
