Singapore is as developed as it gets in Asia, yet I have a few gfs who are either virgins, pre-orgasmic and/ or don't like sex.

If you live in a culture that doesn't talk about sex, you end up with citizens who know little about sex and hence cannot manage sex well.

These gfs are virgins by choice because they
- take relationships/ romance/ love serious
- holding out for the one
- simply don't know how
- religious propaganda
- cannot find somebody (one gf has seen unfaithful men in her life including her father and has a phobia of relationship, not to mention being a little plump. Plump Asian girls are NOT cute in our culture)

To me, it matters little if a country is developed but more to do with the sex culture of the country i.e. sex positive or not!

Thinking about what might be considered almost a polar oposite to the life we lead as hobbyists and providers, I am interested in peoples guesses about the following question:

What percentage of the adult population of developed countries never have sex -i.e remain lifelong virgins?

I'm not thinking of 3rd world countries which might be totally different for a variety of reasons.

Obviously, I doubt that there is any hard data but what would you guess?

1%, 10%, 50%????

Just curious what people would guess!

George

If anyone has data about this, it might be the Love Goddess.

Bottom line is...I'm sorry, but... we don't open for the "no sex (talk)" until (tomorrow).

That hasn't worked so well for the Catholics, has it? Their ridiculous vows of celibacy seem to result in playing grab-ass with young altar-boys...

turd-world countries seem to have the most sex of all, breeding like rats...

One thing is for sure... There's no such thing as being too ugly or too fat to find sex... There's always someone available to fuck you if you lower your standards enough.  ;>

and believe it is around 1%. And they are missing one of life's greatest pleasures.

you really think only 1%?   I think closer to 15%.

Hustling happens even in an Islamic country like Afghanistan. But the culture imbues the practice with a bit of a twist.

Teenage girls who are trying to help feed their families offer their rectums for greenbacks. Not their vaginas - it's a capital offense under Sharia (strict Islamic law) to fail to be found a virgin when you wed. And a shame to the family. But I guess the Imam's do not perform a standardized inspection of the behind.  And mind you, there is not a condom anywhere in sight. It's really pathetic. (and, no, I did not partake - I'm not into exploitation). Oh! and some of the local warlords import Chinese women to work in brothels to service westerners at a profit. I'm not sure these ladies are entirely willing - gives off a bad vibe, so I've stayed clear from that as well. But there's not a bloody lot to do in Afghanistan (well, there is quite a bloody lot, actually, but I mean with respect to sex......).

So - a culture can be sex negative, sex positive, or just plain sex twisted.....

What is sex twisted? Who defines it?

Just share a story, I once had a friend say BDSM was weird. I challenged him by saying "Weird is what you call what you don't understand."

I could care less if he ever did BDSM. I just wanted to know I had friends who were willing to be open minded enough to ask questions and be curious. He was totally closed to what he didn't know and yet didn't want to find out about.

I get your point.

I'm a Dom and my SO and I practice a D/S relationship. Which is misunderstood and mischaracterized by many who have spread unsavory rumors about our relationship.....

but

I have to say that I find the situation I described in Afghanistan to be twisted, because it fosters a dangerous form of exploitation in the name of morality. Not to say that there is not a degree of same here in the US, where fundamentalist Christians are against condoms, birth control, fighting HIV etc.

Sexual exploitation exists everywhere, not just Afghanistan.

We are on the same page.

In this day and age, it probably depends on how intrusive the imaginary sky friends are and how much temporal power their shamans wield.
