I arrive at the office the other day and go to log into my email but the computer keeps saying that there's no such user.

I try over and over, even rebooting the computer and still no luck.

I call up the IT guy and he comes over and takes a look at the screen and says:  "Who's Mr. Fisher?

Awkward!

Could have been worse.  He could have said, "So you're Mr. Fisher, wait until the guys hear this!"

Hehehe - I have mixed up my civilian and hobby usernames before.  Fortunately not to the point of bringing in IT support (yet).  It does get worse as ya get older...

I was in a business meeting the other day... and forgot that my cell phone was set to "speaker phone" mode.  A provider friend called and started talking.....lol!   fortunately she and I know each other well enough that it sounded much more like two friends (which it was) than a provider/hobbiest conversation!  but hey, it happens...  by the way - I was not upset.... cause the lady that called... is just that - a lady.

In the "bad old days" before the Internet, a friend of mine and I gave a Christmas party at the brothel we frequented.  In those days, everyone, the girls and the guys, used an alias.  We had a great time.  My buddy, who was a Hassidic Jew, was having great fun playing santa, with the girls on his lap, when one of them, across the room, picked up a slip of paper off the floor and announced to everyone, "Who's Steve Jones???"  The slip of paper was the credit card receipt for the gifts I'd bought for the girls, and of course I was "Steve Jones."  There was a long moment of silence, then tittering.  My buddy saved the moment by bellowing out, "HO HO HO, Who's the next naughty girl?"

Of course, my name is not Steve Jones.

I saw a guy taken away in cuffs because he was surfing for porn at work and apparently got embroiled in some underage sites; he claims by accident. His case in being adjudicated as we speak and while he is back at work, if he is found guilty, he will also likely lose his job. He could be fired for cause as it stands today, but since the case involves other shit it seems, the corp. lawyers are taking a wait n see approach. For all you guys who can't afford to lose your livelihood, just STOP at work.

afford to loose your job, the conversation will go like this...

Mr. Smith, we've assembled your pattern of Web Use here at Acme, and we see that you visit inappropriate sites.  This compromises the company's integrity, and of course that can't be tolerated.  We have typed out your resignation, and we would like you to sign it, so that we do not have to involve your family or press legal charges..."  and that, my friends happens behind a closed door.... computer is confiscated... as evidence.

On more than one occasion I've used my password for a naughty site to try to get into my computer at work.  On both occasions my hand was halfway to dialing IT when I realized the password I was using was for my favorite lesbian sex site, not for work.  We old farts have to keep reminding each other.

that would be told something about a virus and not do anything about it?

and that allows people in the office, even if they are the boss, to install and run any software on the computers?

I guess that is one way to insure you'll always have a job fixing problems with the computers and the network...

One of them has an unbelievably large collection.  Another will stare at it 12 inches from the screen as though she's deciphering secret messages.

IMO, women have a block about porn that men don't have.  They really feel no distance between themselves and a woman having sex on the screen, and they react to it like it's rape, even when it isn't.

If they get over that block, and most aren't motivated to, they can be as notorious about watching porn as men.

Either your account has been canceled, your username has become corrupt either on your mail-handler or your account, or some malware is using your mail handler to send massive amounts of spam-- it has been turned into a zombie.

You don't mention if you are access it directly from the website or through a mail-handler program like Outlook.  Check it for viruses and malware.  Try going directly to the website and put your handle and password in there.

I had a lesbian housemate once who did a fair bit of porn-watching.  I was amazed to find out about how different it was, and yet... it was pretty damn hot.  :)

Let's just say, bimbos with fake fingernails had absolutely no place in her collection (or in her fantasy life).  I don't think she would have thought much of a lot of the current crop of mainstream porn girl-girl scenes, either.

I don't presume to speak for any sort of "lesbian community"; I just knew a few ladies who had overheated libidos, and who generally traveled on the other side of the street.  Before anyone asks, no, none of them ever tried to hit on me, either, although I did sometimes watch movies with the one lady while we were drinking together.  :)
