Forget the fact you are miffed by something so trivial that you had to make post about it.  Maybe you weren't in the first 20 people that e-mailed her about it and it would take her all day to reply to everyone that pointed out her grammatical error.

i pointed out that a hobbyist wrote a trivial moronic post about getting his panties in a bunch over something so unimportant that a normal person wouldn't think twice about it.  shouldn't he thank me?

Perhaps doing a good deed for the day is it's own reward.

Expecting thanks for the most trivial things is kind of going a little overboard.  If someone takes time out to thank you for something small, then consider it a pleasant surprise.  Usually keeps me from being disappointed in my fellow man.

when I emailed a provider whose ad gave an interchange for her location.  There could only have been one place she could have been staying & didn't want to see her busted.  More to the point, the ad was corrected very quickly.

I saw her add (or perhaps someone else's who made the same error). But evidently she got her point across. I'm happy to say that I have more going on in my life, that I don't feel the need to email a provider to correct her on a grammatical error.

Recently, I was walking into a store and there was a sign on the door saying "lost cell phone, there is an award for returning it". I for one don't mind at all having a paper I can hang on my wall congratulating me on finding and returning this young lady's cell phone. Of course I noticed it immediately, and I did get a smirk out of it, but there was nothing to gain by calling the phone number that was posted to correct her on a grammatical error (I did however hope that the number posted wasn't the number for her lost phone, as she might not get the call). She got her point across, she was hoping someone would find her phone and return it to her and she would extend a "reward" to whomever did.  

Earlier this year on this board someone posted that something was vile, however, they spelled it vial. One of the usual bashers on here went on an unnecessary rant about this simple mistake in choice of words. The person got their point across, so what if they chose the wrong word.

Perhaps it's the fault of our language with like sounding words (there, they're, their) (wear, where) etc. I for one would not enjoy learning English as a second language, we clearly have some stupid rules.

I hope pointing this out to her, and subsequent posting of her simple mistake in here makes you somehow feel smarter or better about yourself, apparently you need it.  

There's an old adage you may want to take to heart "choose your battles wisely"

She probably didn't even write the ad herself. Why does it bother you so much? You should also upgrade to a smartphone unless that is too complicated for you.

But it's a lot of fun watching your narcissism get the shit kicked out of you.  And it's not going so well on the other board either  LOL
