I prefer introducing myself to a provider by email whenever possible.  What are some of your favorite "lines" of introduction?  Anybody got a good way of greeting and initiating contact with a total stranger for purposes of acquiring sex from them?

I always approach initial E-mail solicitation the same way. First I begin by telling them where I saw there ad. ("I came across your profile while browsing the TER boards, or "I saw your website through Eros".). Second, I tell the lady a little about me. (I am a 33 year old professional white male working in Real Estate Development). Third I tell them why I am contacting them. (I am interested in setting up an appointment to meet with you at your incall location.) Fourth, if I know specifically when I want to meet (date/time) I will state it here. If not, I will state that depending on my work schedule I would be available to meet with her either Wednesday-Friday depending on her availability. Lastly, I ask the lady to contact me at her earliest convenience regarding her availability, incall location (i.e. general area in the city) and, if not mentioned on her website, her rates.

Obviously, the key is to be as professional as possible, and make the lady want to respond back to your E-mail. Make sure any questions you ask (i.e. rates) are not available on her website.  
While a humorous introduction or catchy one-liners can be creative, you have to be careful. If the provider does not get your humor or approach, you may not get a chance to contact her again (as the addage goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression). You will have plenty of time once you meet to wow the lady with your creativity. I think a professional initial E-mail is best the way to go and will give the lady the most comfort level to want to see you. It has served me well.

If a gentleman visits my site I prefer for him to contact me at first through the playdate request form on my site. Then a follow up email from me will let him know if I am even available on date/time requested. If he would like to give a little information about himself, likes or dislikes after that I certainly appreciate that.

well i'm one of those weird providers who only corresponds with potential clients via email in the early stages. that's because i screen very carefully, not just for my own safety, but for the client's satisfaction and fulfillment.

anywho, the emails i respond to start out much the way Hardy mentioned...with the man stating where he saw my ad, and giving some personal info (age, location, race, etc.). however i would never respond to a first email from someone stating they'd like to see me on such and such a date at such and such a time. that makes the presumption that we are going to get together, whereas for me the whole point of my screening process is to take the time to get to know one another somewhat and discover if i'll be the right fit for that particular client. i would never establish a meeting date in a first or even a second email. but then that just may be me and my weirdness, i realize other providers may be comfortable with that. but personally i would recommend you just telling her about yourself, and letting her know what it was that attracted you to her ad. maybe state your desires or erotic interests, and always be courteous. let her know that she is free to ask you questions as well, and go from there.

Here's what works for me:

I understand if the gentleman wants to be sure I'm free (first) on a certain day before dishing out all the personal information. However, once you tell him "yes" then he should respond by giving me what I ask for: usually other providers with reputable websites, a work number so I know he's from out of town or has a full-time job and not L.E., but I tell him I'm very discreet about calling his place of employment. Usually, if he can give me a lady's name from Phx411.net who has been around for awhile, or a lady whose reference I can trust, then he may not need to give me a work number. But, instead, men email me back like this:

Hi,

I'm Ken and have noticed you for awhile. I have seen Layla (made-up name) at: 555-1212.  That's it.

Okay, Ken. There are probably a hundred Kens out there. What do you do for a living? Then we go back and forth about four times until he gives me more information. It's very frustrating, and I'm about ready to give up. I also feel like he is avoiding my questions and that makes me very suspicious and uncomfortable.

Guys:  Just give us the information. You know we need it. It will be private, but I'm not seeing anyone without a little information or a great reference.

I am on Date-Check under the same ID "Terrev" and you can see the White List below.

Would that get me an appt to see you?

Actually, some of us are not currently a VIP on TER, so the White List means nothing to us. As far as Date Check goes, I don't trust a lot of services. I'd rather talk to the provider who has seen you. I would still require other references.

In a sentence or two I explain why I want to see her. That I enter the date and time of appointment and all necessary screening information.

I've seen guys sending essays to providers. One of them wrote how he worships her, how he loves his home country and how he likes to help people. I grew a vagina from reading that.

This is a business arrangement...not a romance.  His approach is precisely correct..and yes, it would work well with an accountant, too.  You're not hitting on this woman on a web chat area, you are making a business arrangement to purchase her time.  That's all you should discuss at first.
