Ok, so earlier I posted saying that my ATF called me on the phone after not seeing her for 2 weeks. I called her back - we talked and said 'hi' and 'how are you doing'. Then I said I will call her soon.  After a few days, I receive another phone call from her asking me to check something for her on the Web (she does not have Internet connection). It seems just like an excuse to remind me that I should see her.

So, I called her back (she did not answer the phone so I left a message). I said that I did check for the info she needed from the Web.  I also felt that I had to tell her that I could not see her last week or this week as I was waiting for my August paycheck - would you guys have done the same (tell her that)?

You did fine.  In my experience, no client is indispensable for a provider.  She is your ATF today.  Tomorrow she will be someone else's ATF.

I have a provider, not my ATF, but someone who called me almost every Friday to say " I just wanted to say hello..." While, I know people do often connect on this level, it's unlikely that this woman even likes me very much. So, even if she is your ATF, don't be her ATM.

I actually like that you were upfront about having to wait for funding to arrive before seeing her.  If nothing else, it lets the lady know you haven't been seeing her because of a problem with her service.  The ancillary benefit is that it reminds her you are not a bottomless ATM machine -- something too many ladies tend to think about their clients, in my experience.

Three women were sitting around throwing back a few drinks and talking about their love lives. One woman said, "I call my husband the dentist. "Nobody can drill like he does."

The second woman giggled and confessed, "I call my husband the miner because of his incredible shaft."

The third woman quietly sipped her cosmo until her friend asked, "Say, what do you call your husband?"

She frowned and said, "The postman."

"Why the postman?"

"Because he always delivers late, and half the time it's in the wrong box."

Cheers!...
