After reading on my local board a man who I have seen before getting scammed by an OF model I was curious, do you indulge in OF? I don’t see how anyone can get scammed on OF. The site is pretty straightforward. You tip for customized content. The model sets a subscription price for you to view their content. All models are verified with ID’s. You get a 1099 at the end of the year if you made a certain amount. OF models are legit as far as I have had the opportunity to see. Many models are making a living off OF. Many women newer to the provider side of the business use it in lieu of a website. With many ladies now refusing reviews on any forum, the guys just have so much less info to make an informed decision.

I am old school so the concept of OF does not appeal to me!

I tried a couple of times. Not a fan. My experience was that I paid a monthly fee for which I got access to pictures and really short videos, but anything longer than a couple of minutes was an upcharge. So I've stopped paying for OF accounts.

And I agree. No way you can truly get scammed.  

I didn't exactly have to engage my imagination to see how he could get scammed. And he probably paid for each of the messages that led to it! Haha.
 
What I don't get is girls who advertise "free OF access," but when you use the provided link, you get a pay wall. 🤷‍♂️ I followed two links to this end a while ago, and never again.

But in my opinion you can get scammed.  For instance some content creators don't let you know that there's no nudity on their page, rather implied nudity or basically bikini stuff you would see on their IG pages.  Another way IG/OF models scam is by leading potential clients to believe that the only way to book with them is by first subscribing to their OF page. And if you've been on OF long enough then you know that you can't PM asking about anything to do with escorting.  Where the scam comes in is once you subscribe to their page you're locked in for the one month no matter what.

I only subscribe to of when there is a provider I want to see, many providers will make a couple of videos for onlyfans, so they can advertise as pornstars and charge more, what most providers don’t get is it’s actually hurt their business, at least for me I have yet to see a provider I subscribe to on of, after looking at their content on of, I decided not to see them, just not enough content to entice me, they would have been better not to advertise their of in their ad!

and videos, and I will NEVER pay for the privilege of viewing advertisements on principal.   If they want my business, they have to show me their add for no fee or obligation.  Then I will decide if I want to see them. This is the reason that TER does not allow password-protected ad links in profiles.  Ad links must be accessible by all members at no charge.  With that said, it sometimes seems to me that there is a carve-out to this rule for P411, but no one has ever been able to tell me why that might be the case.

However a history of OF participation could cause future civie dating troubles.

During COVID, there was a NYC EMT who could only get part-time hours so she turned to OF to make ends meet. When it was discovered, some people outed her, doxxed her, berated her, and said other mean things about her. Others used her case to highlight the high cost of living in NYC, the low wages for EMTs compared to other large cities, and, in defense of her OF efforts, said that "Sex work IS work."

Like others have said, there’s too much free porn available to make OF a viable option or a viable alternative. Secondly, my opinion of OF is similar to my opinion of strip clubs: I have zero interest in dumping a lot of money into something that just teases me with unattainable women for disappointing amounts of actual sexual contact. While it’s true or might be true that there are opportunities to have sex sometimes with some strippers, it’s after a layout of a lot of cash that doesn’t result in getting laid every time. OF is even worse. Just seeing something on a screen doesn’t do it for me when I want one-on-one physical contact with women.

I have never made one, mostly because I am super lazy and would rather be putzing around in my garden or flower beds. (Wait...would guys pay to see my naked doing that??? lol)  
I do though honestly worry about the on line SW taking over in person, and I have no desire to do online work. I have been contacted several times for customized pics/videos/OF content/zoom sessions and when I told them I only do in person they said they were not interested. This has only happened a few times, so I have not lost a lot of business, but it is still on the back of my mind if I should expand my content and client base. Maybe in the future, but for now I just don't see the time and effort it would take into setting it up to be monetarily advantageous.

I'm not sure how he was scammed but he might be describing how I feel about it so I've subscribed a few times to these content creators on OF thinking wow her material looks great. Once I purchase my subscription it's all mediocre photos 10 seconds to 1-minute videos!! And most of their content is video reviews cut up showing the best parts. And they upsell the videos and purchase them for 20$ for 10 minutes!!!🫣😮 ya so not a big fan lol. Especially when you're competing with free Pornhub 🙂🤣
