"Dine did not identify the Speedway officers; State Police 1st Sgt. Dave Bursten said he could not release the trooper's name."

What utter hypocrisy!

Hope someone writes a freedom of information request to get the names of the officers. Suits them well. Perhaps the local newspaper can publish the names and see how they like it.

I think we'd be hard pressed to find anyone who uses this board as it's intended who favors anti-prostitution laws. That doesn't mean we should all consider LE as the "enemy" every moment of every day.

I didn't read anywhere in the linked news story that any of the guys involved in this EVER enforced anti-prostitution laws. I'll bet some of our finest ladies have peace officers as favorite clients (and I'll bet they survived INCREDIBLE screening before becoming so lucky themselves).

Now, if these guys were vice officers, and they took the lady they thought looked and acted hottest from some outcall sting for a party of their own in exchange for a confidential dropping of the charges, then they should be outed. However, maybe they're normal, compassionate people with the same everyday problems as other hobbyists. Maybe they do things that LE is SUPPOSED to do between 9-5, and they were looking for exactly the same fun that we think should be legal (although I must say that I'm not sure we should be happy about encouraging GBs in the woods).

I'm not a cop, but I'm certain that in the ideal society, cops would be our friends, not the enemy.
