Yes. Too many working girls are getting murdered for them not to ask for your ID.

Every provider is different, and they have a right to screen to their level of comfort. Some will ask for more information, and some will ask for a lot less. Every hobbyist is different in the amount of information he is willing to give up for screening. You make the call. If you are comfortable showing your id, then do it. If not, move on and find another provider who doesn't ask for it. Plenty of ladies out there.

For me personally, if the provider is a well reviewed, reputable provider, I wouldn't have a problem showing my id. (but I have also never been asked for it) I am also single and self employed, and don't use a hobby phone. I may have less to lose than some others.

How does she know that “you are who say who you are”? Don’t see an issue here other than much ado about nothing!

just to see that you are who you have said & which name she has verified.  You've already given the information & it's not like she's keeping a copy.   Yes, I would.

I understand it makes mongers uncomfortable but it's not unreasonable on its face because for a first timer it's the only way she knows you're the person she's been dealing with.  When it's been done with me it's only a quick glance and unless she's got a photographic memory there's no way she'll remember the info.  As has been said, a well-reviewed provider isn't going to blackmail you.

And gets busted for their careless practices & end up outing the client list all over the net?  True story about the agency deal, in fact there are many such stories.

I've never had a well reviewed lady give me trouble.

I usually end up telling them way more about myself after seeing a couple of times anyway. A select few know where I work and some even know where I live, what my siblings do for a living, what school I went to.

Some know my social security number too (long story but we were signing a contract for something unrelated to the hobby)

.... I was staying in a hotel without the elevator security so she came right up and knocked. I had my drivers license sitting on the table inside the door as requested by her. Once she entered my room she went to the table, picked up my license and handed me hers. She smiled at me and said that she simply wanted to be sure that I was old enough to take part in this type of Adult Play.

It was a bit strange for me being my second date ever but I also understood the reason why she needed to see it.

I had no idea if the license that I checked out of hers was real or a fake being she was underage to drink but I simply didn't care.

I'm still pretty new to this but when I started, I could not get accepted to a verification site because I had no reviews anywhere.I took my chances and saw clients with no use of a verification site. Thise are the guys that gave me the only reviews I've ever wanted.  I've since obtained a P411 account. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't trust these sites and won't deal with them. I also made it known to potential clients that I required photo ID when arriving but every single person told me this was a deal breaker. Instead, I  started requesting face pics, and a phone call prior to booking  and 99percent would abide. I tell a friend (retired cop, with lots of resources for tracking someone down if they try to harm me in any way) when I have a client coming  and again when the client leaves. When they arrive, I jot down their licence plate number and car description before they get to the door.  Everyone that has shown up matches the picture that was sent to me.   What confuses me about all the verification sites is that it seems to not be enough for some providers. I've also heard of providers having trouble with clients that were "approved" via a verification site.  Even seeing their license is no guarantee that the guy isn't a psycho! I guess no matter what methods we use, there are no guarntees. What I'm doing is working so far.  As for showing your license, go with your gut. Just like a provider shouldn't do anything she's not comfortable with, a client shouln't either.

i have never been asked for my id..why do you think i have my picture and profile on p411? if a provider truly checks out her prospective clients there is no need to ask for an id..i am a mature hobbyist there for a session..i am not a 17 year old kid trying to buy some beer in some liquor store..i personally would be embarrassed if a provider asked to see it no matter what her policies are..it is tacky and not professional..just my opinion..

perform the "Vulcan mind meld" and extract every piece of info from her as well :)

And if that doesn't work for you...ask her after an hour of play what YOUR name is again....bet she doesn't remember!

FWIW...I've had a few gals ask me for the ID upon an initial visit...and have NO problems giving up an ID.  And only once has she remembered my name...but then again I am still seeing her nearly two years now.

Go figure!

Please explain to me when did the provider became the boss..there are way to many providers out there (special in my city) for them to dictate the rules. "We are both breaking the law" the same way she's skeptical of me I'm also skeptical of her. I never bend for a provider. A provider want to be picky fine, I move to the next one. At the end of the day they wasted their time by refusing my appointment while I still have my money so who looses here. I have something they want that is rarer than what they are going to give me. Its simple economic supply and demand. Futhermore getting cought as a "john" is more humiliating than getting caught as a provider, so you do the math who has more to loose. Recent even has proven what I just stated, remember when the governor of NY was caught with that girl, she went on a became a celebrity and cashing on her new fame while Spitzer lost his job and any future in the polical world. Who was the looser there.
If you want to say its about safety well checking ID and background and reference is not going to make the provider or the hobbyist any safer. moral of the story is we are all taking chances, so fuck it.

Assuming that your "reputable reference" was based on your real name of course.  The reference proves that you are a good customer.  It does not prove that the guy who provided the reference is the same guy standing in her hotel room at that moment.

at this point you have nothing to hide. Why not show your id where she can feel comfortable. If that is what she requires then you should want to ease her mind.

Just an FYI we check out more than you can even imagine so the id sometimes is just the final verification in the process.

No photographic memory ether. Now I can't remediable anyone's name, ever. Numbers are easy, names not so much. But She would already have your name. I could do a lot of damage with a DL#, address, and name. A lot of damage.

As I said, I would but it adds to the risk.

A profile can & HAS been flipped before... hence, she needs to verify that you are the same person that you say you are. A profile, even from a verification site can be flipped, & used by LE. If the name on your ID does not match what she verified through the profile, then you are not the same person she verified. I've also heard of friends "lending" out their profile info for appts. Just cover up everything, so just your name shows. RS2K states in their rules, that a gentlemen must be ready to show his ID upon arrival for the appointment.

But a guy that don't wish to show it may book a lady not knowing. I have been asked to show once and nowhere in her ad (she didn't have a site) did she say ID required and she had no reviews. Some ladies do not communicate their screening needs well in advance. Not every lady is ethical. Every horror story about a guy outing a lady can be shown in spades the other way around. The public blacklists/blogs are full of guys being outed over the littlest things, some time with photos, full names, work info. I can memorize a DL# in seconds I doubt I am alone in that.

Her business is to stay safe! And in order to do so, a lady needs to verify that a gent is in fact who he says he is and that he is the actual guy she verified. WIthout an ID a gentleman can lie about his name, work, verification, etc.

You have the right to opt out if it makes you uncomfortable, but it most certainly is a lady's business to know who she is letting in her door.

I check ID upon arrival. Those who have something to hide and can't be upfront and show me their ID will not pass through my door. We all have choices in life. It's important to choose the ones you're happy with.

Do what with that information exactly?

Do you realize that when I go to someone's house for an outcall that I know where they live! Gasp! Oh, the thought of it!

So does your pizza delivery guy.

It just so happens that informants have turned over their online accounts to LE and the guy we are meeting may not be the same guy who went through a verification site's screening and got the provider okays. We are, and always will be, more at risk than you are when our reviews already prove that we are legit.

I always let a guy know I will want to see his ID before I even head his way to meet him and if he says he doesn't want to do that, the meeting it cancelled.

I guess everyone has different comfort level around revealing personal information.

With the Internet, once a real name is revealed, much more can be found.  It doesn't seem right that the customer needs to take that risk.

With respect to safety, I don't see how revealing ID lowers that risk.  If the John is LE, an ID would not tip the provider off.  If the John is abusive, a name would not help either.

The best screen is recommendations from one or more previous reputable providers.  The email address / phone number used should match those used with the previous provider.  Yes there is still some risk but that's why the provider fees are so high.

First of all, the lady is the physically weaker one. Theoretically if the client was a bad guy he could take what he wanted from her without her permission by using physical force. So since her personal safety or possibly even life is at stake, she does have more to lose than we do.
Second, the provider is the boss. She sets the rules and if we agree with those rules, we decide to see her, not the other way around. We pick our provider based on mutual boundaries.
We need providers as much as they need us. Learning. A providers boundaries and making sure we agree with them helps us find the right provider. If she doesn't offer Greek, we aren't going to make her, are we? No, we find a provider who does offer Greek. Provider is the boss.
Also, if we get in trouble, they have as much to lose as we do. There is more social stigma attached to being a provider than being a John. This point is arguable, but that's my stance. If a girl gets an arrest record as a prostitute, what future job can she ever get? Who would hire her? Generally the girls I see are working towards something in their lives and providing is a means to an end, not an end in and of itself. If they got into trouble what they are working towards would be lost. Would I lose my job if I got into to trouble as a John? I'm living under the assumption that I would not. Maybe I'm wrong here, but at the very least providers and clients  have an equal amount to lose if they get in trouble, providers have more risk in terms of physical safety.
If you don't want to show your ID, I see no problem with that, but if a provider wants to see my ID, I'll cover up my address with my thumb and show it to her. She already knows who I am, she just wants to make sure I am who I say I am

I believe that a client would be less likely to physically harm a provider if she has confirmed his name. If he thinks he is operating under the premise of anonymity he could get away with more with the provider, because she would have little recourse.
References from other providers prove only that clients have been good boys in the past. We give any personal info not just to prove we aren't le, we mostly give it so the girl knows we are who we say we are. And if she knows who we are, we are less likely to hurt her.
Also, I think clients who are looking to hurt a provider would look for girls who dont ask for ID, so she is screening out potential abuses by asking for ID.
I'm no expert.

So much information so few  facts . Devious criminals are smarter than the naive.

Any idiot or dangerous person could easily obtain a FAKE ID.
Fake references from two or a few reputable providers would  be difficult
to muster out of thin air .

How many  providers own a  bar code scanner ?

http://www.card-reader.com/idscan_drivers_license.htm?gclid=CIHZzMbpra4CFUbc4AodgkZ4Pg

Side note: LE can EASILY obtain a fake ID that will pass the bar code test  from any State they wish.

A total of one  agency provider has asked for my ID. She couldn't read English but she was following her boss's instructions  .
