My prayers go out to Shawn Taylor(WRS) that he pulls through.

The number of people Killed in the US annually is about 18,000.  Pretty sad.  That the rich and famous are often included in the statistics should be a wake up call to end civil violence but that does not seem to be the case.

Anger - and its management.  It has been my good fortune to escape violence for the most part.  But yes, I have been in bars where dudes wanted to carve their initials on my skin, or in strip clubs where some patron decides that he needs to kill all that look upon "his woman"!  Sheese......   it would be nice if we could end this stuff.

and for most of it, there just is no purpose.

Too many people on mood altering drugs . DV is not joke and  our court systems should take it more seriously than they do .

I have NO pity for anyone who is abusive either mentally, physcially, verbally, emotionally.

Abuse comes in many forms .
The key to protecting ones self from a violent person is to learn the early signs . There are always  "signs" and "red flags" . Time to take control !

I probably should have said "death by violence within the continental US"  but was in a hurry...   and yes, it does appear to be a "break-in"

...that our thread's originator misspelled the guy's name, provided no link, and only offered (WRS) as some means of identifying the victim, I'm actually impressed that you two fellas even know to whom the guy was referring.  I didn't have you pegged for sports fans (well, other than muff diving, and other hobby-related "sports").  This is quite sad, whether it's a home invasion or a domestic situation.  I hope Sean Taylor makes a complete recovery, as the Washington Redskins are my team.  But more than that, I hope he recovers so that he can be a father to his little kid (hopefully, he'll marry his GF, the child's mother).  He's had some personal and behavior problems, but from the accounts that I've heard, he's not a bad guy.  I hope he gets the chance to prove that that is the case.
