Many Provders travel to different cities, both the self-employed and agency providers.  How can one use TER to find these ladies' ratings? Area codes don't help at all here.  Why doesn't TER just use names?  If the provider is traveling all over, doesn't it make more sense to organize by name? She may be based out of,say, Philly--but I don't know that. The ads rarely let that out.  As to there being a lot of providers w/ the same name: the descriptions can sort that out. Am I missing a better search method for reviews than using the area code of my "Other" city location (Milwaukee)?

I'm not sure I really understand the nature of your question. You can use the TER search engine by using full phone number from an ad (just leave the city option blank). Better yet TER has a plug in program you can download so that while you are browsing adds you can right click on the phone number and see if this provider has TER reviews. This is a great way to see if the provider is with an agency as many times a single phone number returns multiple providers (i.e. an agency).

Another good resource for your area is the "Other Cities" discussion boards as travelling providers will ususally post there to advise a city/state that they are in the area.

why exactly doesn't that work as a name search for you?

I've never seen that "name field"--but I'm not a paid member yet. Is that why? As for phone #, all TER asks me is the area code. I've just now downloaded the plug in. Maybe that will help, or must I join to get all the features? I know sound cheap, but I'm just new.

Either plunk out the measly few bucks or go do 2 reviews and get your VIP. You won't believe the difference it makes.
