Maybe some "Bangers & Mash".
Life is pretty sweet!
Bangers, and mashed are for the English. Or God forbid.. The Scots!
WTF is Irish Stew? Do you mean Shepards Pie?
Honestly.. The off the boat Irish I know have bacon and eggs..
Then lots of lamb, and fish..
And they say.. "What's the crack?!"
It can mean anything...
but I'll commit heresy and say I want Italian tonight.
But I think she's busy.
The Italian, and the beer.
For when I get home from work tonight. The sitter told me over the phone that it smells awesome, can't wait!
Or 'craic' as I think they spell it...apparently, it's an Irish slang term meaning fun ![]()

Irish food sucks.
Irish music is horrendous.
Irish hygiene is non-existent.
Irish culture is nothing more than cows, green fields and drunks.
Irish weather is hideous.
All in all, I wouldn't want to live there but the upside is I wouldn't want to vacation there either.
Great golf courses though. Luckily we had great weather. No rain and 70 degrees. Personally I'd rather go to the sun coast of spain.
I left the states on the 12th planning to stay until the 22nd. The country blew so badly I left on the 16th and celebrated St Patty's day in Costa Rica.
Besides the lousy food, weather, music, etc there was a certain stink to Dublin that left a bad taste in my mouth that lasted for days after I left. I don't know if it was a diesel smell or what it was but it made the already bad food taste even worse. Ireland actually made England look good in comparison.
...Who could it be...?
Certainly-y-y-y...
Not ME!
is great if you are in the party with 'em. And I like redheads with freckles.
I will confess that a green eyed, red head with great skin is a very sexy combination if you can find one.
but the music??? come on man, give me a break. The music blows even worse than the food or the weather.
depends on the complexion and freckles.
My fave FBMS is all Irish and I see her in a day or two for a late March 14 Steak and BJ. I bring the slab of meat, she brings the massage and BJ. And then DATY and then a nice massage for her.
I'll agree about green eyed non freckled redheads, very hot. Blue eyed redheads work for me as well. As for Irish music, goddamn you could not be more wrong. I LOVE Irish music.
and I can sing along with those tunes. Christ man, the Irish are the original partiers and hobbyists:
From "Before We Were Married":
Before we were married
you had shaven silky legs
before we were married
well, I never had to beg
before we were married
you wanted lovin' every night
before we were married
we left on the bedroom light
but now that we are married
you've got sandpaper on your thighs
you've memorized the pattern of
the bedroom ceoling tiles
your moaning in the bedroom consists of
"Please! Don't touch my hair!"
and I think that I'm bisexual
cause I have sex...twice a year
Now the food? Yep... I can pass.
but I will admit to liking Jameson every once in a while
I mean those fukkers can't even raise potatoes w/o fucking it up with a famine. Lima beans or carrots I'd understand, but fking potatoes? C'mon.
Irish food sucks: I have to agree that Irish food sucks.
Irish music is horrendous: No, Irish music is folksy and charming...wistful, nostalgic.
Irish hygiene is non-existent: Irish hygiene...so, how exactly do you know????? Pray tell.
Irish culture is nothing more than cows, green fields and drunks: My main counterpoints: Irish literature: Wilde, Swift, Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, Joyce, McCourt. Even just ONE of those names taken alone would kill your thesis. Then there's Riverdance.
Irish weather is hideous: Irish weather is more temperate than ours (at least, where I live and definitely more temperate than this winter's been). Constant moisture keeps country verdant...the countryside is breathtaking. Ring of Kerry, Donegal...magical places, no matter what the weather. I'd say mistiness even adds a certain melancholic, vague character to the landscape...
I can see why you WOULDN'T visit...it's obvious you've never been there. it's one of my favorite places in the world
Does that mean 'You rock?' I've never heard the phrase; 'carraig=rock' was the best google could do for me.
I can't really claim to be a 'closet' romantic while using the words 'verdant' AND 'melancholic' in a post that mentions Yeats
I suppose Ireland brings it out in me
