Screening Process

Can you help me better understand what happens when a provider "screens" a potential client?  I'm new to independents (though very experienced at the brothels) and I'm apprehensive about providing my name, company, phone number and address.

How does a girl make sure I'm legit?  Do I have to worry about it following me home?

She makes sure you're legit' by the mere data you are reticent to provide her.
IE: Name, phone-#, company, company’s phone-# and address.

Wrongful use of the data by respected/reviewed providers is EXTREMELY rare.
The very real concern that a potential client is LE or a Jack the Ripper copy-cat is unremitting.

How do we know you are legit? First off, make sure she is legit  and a professional.

It seems that many men are respecting screening these days.. we thank you for sure !

We really dont care what your name and number is. It's lost if appt is cancelled or after appointment is screened.

No, we dont want to follow you home.. we will fall in love with you for an hour or three :)
We don't want your kids, we have some. we dont want your house, we have enough bills. We surely dont want your boat or toys, we have enough of our own...

Surely you can afford us for an hour or three, but you could never afford us for a year or 33.

Someone once said, you don't pay us to stay,  you pay us to leave.

I'm off for a pedicure :) Good day to ya

What about the service(s) like DateCheck(?) I think that is the name. One provider had in her profile that she accepted their screening. Do many?  I felt much more reluctance to have my personal data go into some private company's data base of men needing screening for the services of Miss Lola DeParis :-)  I am a widower and retired so it really doesn't make much difference to me, giving my name and phone number to a regular provider whose ads are on the Internet for months and years. I trust her much more than Uncle Sam nowadays, when it comes to keeping out of my private affairs.    Anyway, I sure wish on of these ladies ready to retire would follow me home and stay right there.  George

Some ask for provider references.

Some just want a photo ID or that and proof of employment: pay stub or badge.

Some want to call your employer and talk to them and that's a good way to make sure I'll never see them.

Some will be satisfied with talking you on TER if you have reviews or are a VIP member.  TER ladies are the best.

Provider references let you know the guy was safe and nice when a client saw her.

An ID can be submitted to make sure he is who he says he is, but he could also be a cop named Bob Smith. A photo ID only helps if you've called his place of employment and already know his name, or you just want to make sure he's actually from out of town.

I don't want to talk to your employer, but a receptionist that transfers me to your extension tells me you're not a cop during the day. Your employer (and maybe you) will never know.

TER reviews are good, but that doesn't mean you are a good or clean guy. Those reviews are of women not you, my dear.

***The best way (and nothing is safe) is to make sure he has a day-time job and to get a reference from a "reputable provider."  So, now I know you're not a cop and that you're safe with women (and hopefully clean and respectful).

Hugs,
Ciara

you need to trust that she won't misuse your information and she has to trust, and verify, that you are an upright, legitimate, good guy.

If you can't create that level of trust with the ladies, you have no business being involved.

I don't even think about contacting or seeing a ladie that I don't feel very confidant in being able to trust her.
The issue then, is getting her to the point where she can feel comfortable in trusting me.
I do that by supplying what information she asks for.
Having done my "homework", I know I can trust her.

It works well, and as a side benefit, allows you both to be very comfortable with each other when you finally meet.
This makes your time together much more enjoyable.

Just my opinion...

It's nice to trust someone who answers the employer phone but it's never a fool proof way to screen someone. Both sides have a RISK. Do your homework.

have some techniques that increase or decrease the trust level of a prospective partner. Honesty and communicarion are two positives generally. I try to provide plenty of both.

Some ladies and some hobbyists have strict rules for who they will and will not accept. That's fine. Everybody has to have their own comfort level. Others go more by feel and are willing to take some chances. If that never happened, some of us could never get started.

Neither has any way to be guaranteed that the person they meet for the first time isn't LE, a psycho or a scammer. So, at some level, trust has to play a role.

If I fail to meet somebody's screening standards and they aren't willing to take the chance, IMO, it's their loss. I'm not angry. It isn't personal. It's all business and you look for somebody else you can do business with.

So, let's see if I've got this so far.

I give my personal info to a provider and they may call my employer to verify I work there by asking to be transferred to my phone line?  But they're not going to cause a problem at work, correct?

When you say "do your homework", what exactly does that mean?  I'm already filtering by using only TER girls.  I'm figuring I want girls with at least five reviews and some of those have to be from reviewer with 10-15 reviews, minimum.  Ideally, they're providers with several pages of reviews.

And you're telling me that it's very unlikely that I'll have a personal problem with the provider after our encounter?

I agree that there must be some degree of trust, and I certainly appreciate the need of the providers to filter out LE.  But surely you can appreciate my apprehension in providing personal information to someone I've never met or even talked with.

Have I got this all pretty much right?  Is anyone aware of a situation that went bad from a personal perspective using the approach I've outlined?

I really appreciate hearing from the voices of experience.  Thanks!

Ok, let me get this straight.  You are looking on this site for companionship.  Now, you are worried about personal ramifications of a screening process.  Dude, you are looking to pay for "companionship."  This is outlawed in every state. When you engage in illegal activities...assuming that you are looking for sex...you must absorb some risk.  Is this not part of the enticement?  You can't ask for a service and the get righteous when a provider ask to verify who you are.  Si or No, good luck brother.

You may be better suited to stamp collecting.  There's an element of risk to this hobby that you need to accept as an admission price.  I've done well, with only one provider that solicits me periodically.  It's mildly annoying, but not a safety concern in my case.  You can certainly control the information that you give out, and you should.  For example, don't give a provider your wife's cell number, unless she's coming to the party.

I've got enough contacts that screening is almost always painless for me, but in the early days, I had a lady call my office.  I never knew except that she told me when I met her.  It was very discrete and not a problem at all.

Calls office main number:

Provider: "Hello, this is TER Credit Corporation verifying employment of Mr. (Sexreceipt) for a credit app?

Provider: "He is? Thank you very much. Have a great day."

Some switchboard ops get 20-30 calls a week like this and think absolutely nothing of it. The provider's now verified you are a real person who works at a real place (what she wanted to know) and nobody has any idea who just called your employer.

Now, for guys that are self-employed or work for a mom-and-pop company, this might arouse minor suspicion but, for the rest of us, no problemo.

Of course, if the provider turns out to be a psycho bitch from hell to ruin your life she probably can do that since she knows where you work but so could any ex-wife, ex-gf, etc. It's part of the territory.

If you don't want even that amount of risk, then stamp collecting does have some advantages over this (at least you can still lick the stamps).

In response to talltexanboy:

Personaly I would rather not use quite that transcript for verifying employment for 1 simple reason. That verifies that say Johny Comes Lately works for or ownes the company in question. It does not verify that it was actualy Johny who is wanting to book a session.

What I have found works for me is on my pre-screening form one of the questions I ask is "In consideration of your privacy whom/from where would you like for me to say when calling?" When verifying I only call after I have verified all other information prior to that any other communication is via email and that is limited to 1. I will send a short email verifying I have the request and will contact when screening is complete or 2. That short email will be to ask for information which was either left out or incomplete (ie no references or work info etc) I then state to the gentleman why I need that information

By having the gentleman make the decision as to who is to be phoning him at work I am able to taylor the phone call in such a way the receptionist (or Mom (-;) will not be suspicious for he may say for me to say I am Betty from Jolly Rancher or from the Twit government agency which he deals with. When the gentleman answers the phone I then tell him I am Georgia verifying our appointment at___ on ____ at x pm. At that point it is up to the gentleman if he wishes to say thanks for calling or if he wishes to talk further (I do have some who wish to chit chat a bit as a start on the ice breaker)
After an appointment I always try to send a short email to the gentleman thanking him for a nice time and I hope we might run into each other again. After that I do not iniciate any further contact even if I were to see him out in public. (frankly under such circumstances I would rather he not do so either lest I may have a client with me friend or family member who does not know of my job)

As Bengal Tiger stated talking via TER or some other means can help build a bit of a rapor which will help during the ice breaking part of a first meeting however, For me knowing someone is a VIP on TER (or any other board for that matter) is not proof the gentleman is not LE or worse so I still screen (though I will admit depending on the reputation of the gentleman on the boards how much we have talked in past etc I may loosen up my normal standards {only partialy} for some of the trust has been earned by that point)

Also as The Caped Conundrum said (in his own elequent manner) we ladies need to assure our safety and freedom.

To Sexreceipt: I do hope that what you learn here will help your comfort level when asked for screening information as it is deffinate from your latest posting you are doing more than enough of verifying the reputations of the ladies you wish to see. I will also admit that in my oppinion you may be doing yourself a disservice with the standards you are setting for the following reasons.

If you travel TER is not always well known in all parts of the country. I know I have been an active member of TER for going on 4 yrs. Even though I have been so, there are few gentlemen that I know of who use TER (Outside of when I have toured in CA and NYC I can count on 1 hand how many TER gentlemen I have seen localy and most of those were traveling) I would suggest you consider going to the ladies website and checking if she has reviews on other boards and maybe check those out.

Also on the number of reviews a lady might have,  you should take in mind how long the lady has been around and the nature of her business. Example again I have been around for nearly 4 yrs but I do this on a very limited basis. I seldom see more than 3 or 4 gentlemen in a month if that many especialy for the past yr as I have had much going on in my personal life.

One suggestion I would make is that maybe you check out the ladies posting history on the boards. Many (but not all) ladies post on the boards on a very regular basis (not counting posting ads). I know I seldom post an ad but have been quite active here on the general board for the past few yrs (though again as I stated I was away from the boards quite a bit this past yr) By reading the ladies postings on the boards you might get a better feel of her personality and that may also help you make a decision about if you wish to consider seeing that particular lady. Heck you might even while reading the boards stumble on a lady who just by her postings you are interested in.

Oh and as far as situations that went bad the only ones I have had were the feller who ripped me off last yr in Atlanta, and the one who decided he wanted a much more personal and permanant relationship that I was not wishing to get into. As far as ladies causing a problem I did hear a rumor a while back about a situation up in the Carolinas but do not know the details or even if it is true. Also in such cases it is best to learn both sides of the story for like I was told years ago. There is his side, her side, and somewhere in between is the trueth. But even on such information as the rumor out of the carolinas, if you keep in mind the number of ladies who do this and how often something like that happens the ods of something like that happening to you are almost the same as the ods of you winning the lottery. (ok not necessarily the powerball one but say the cash 5 one)

Good luck and party safe

kisses

Georgia

Thanks, Georgia, for such a detailed and informative post.  Asking whom I'd like you to be when calling is GREAT!

By the way, the odds of winning the Lottery are so bad, they're actually the same whether you buy a ticket or not.

Think about it.  :-)))
