Screaming about Screening?

Screening FOR ME, is a process that will weed out any obvious issues. Here is my story:

I had set a date with a man I had never seen and was so busy I actually forgot to screen him. He called to let me know he would be in my general incall vacinity in about an hour. I then remembered to do my screening. I asked him for his information again and told him I would call back in 10 minutes.

It took me 2 minutes to realize I was in trouble. I pulled his information and this man had just got out of prison after a 20 year bid FOR 11 COUNTS OF RAPE, 1 count of kidnapping, and a few other violent crimes against women. I promptly called him back and cancelled.

For those of you who do not want to be screened it is situations like that, the providers are screening for.....WE DON'T WANT TO BE INVOVLED IN A COLD CASE FILE. Please don't take it personally, but I am someones sister, someones aunt, friend, neighbor.....I would like to not be abused, raped, murdered, or any of that while I am at work, all because I did not do a simple screening.

Will screening stop someone from hurting me? No, however it does weed out any obvious problems.

It can be a very frightening situation to be alone with someone who is 4-5 times stronger than you and he is freaking out.

Have I ever been assulted at work? Yes, funny thing is IT WAS A FEMALE CLIENT? So it was on and popping (CAT FIGHT)!!....that is a whole other very very funny post.

4x8 I think you are right...I do need to write a book when I retire......

Correct me if I'm wrong! When you say you want to screen me you don't mean you want to pull my pee pee thru a tiny hole in a window screen cause that would hurt. LOL   If he doesn't want screened say goodbye and move on He'll get the message when he stops getting the putang! :)

Hmm. What kind of screening do you do to get the person arrest warrant and criminal record. I assume you would need his social.

Good thing you did some last minute screening!  It's never too late, but then again I don't have to tell you!!

where did you pull it from?  How did you get such quick access to his criminal record, and how did you know it was him and not someone else by the same name?

That is a provider secret and since we don't know who you are..I damn well hope it remains one. And who cares if it is someone else by that name...if it is him it's too bloody late for her. Please get a clue.

Keep asking those kind of questions with a decided slant against her screening and we'll all be buying attack dogs and not telling you we have them.

When you say screening, criminal record is the last thing I think about.  I thiugh screening to make sure that he is not LE and he is who he say it is and your screen would not stop the "craiglist killer" nor LE and I am not placing doubt on your story but would a serial rapist give you his real name?

the CL asswipe was NOT screened. He was a college student with no job no job history and I am just guessing here but I am sure he kept calling Ladies til he found one who did Not screen. I am sure he also did Not have reviewed provider references or was he p411 or date-check verified. He was not screened. He would have refused to see someone who screened well.

is fine with me.  If I feel it is too intrusive, I will pass; however, this has never happened.

how she found his information to get his criminal backround is not for a public forum and really none of your business.

I'm not doubting the story either.  I would think a guy fresh out of prison would do all he can to evade your background check.  It surprises me that he would give out so much information that you could nail him in a couple of minutes.  Good thing you did.

Actually in your previous post you listed proper screening.  Although criminal background check is a piece of a screening process one may use, her post suggested that in the 10 minutes she opted for the criminal check.  Perhaps she did what you suggest with Date-check. P411 but I was addressing her actual post.

if I am seeing a new lady, I hope she does screen me in some way.  Whether it be backchanneling with other providers or checking my white list, or looking at my reviews, or looking at my Date Check references, I want both of us to feel safe when we meet.  I do my research, why shouldn't she?

and then you weed it down by other identifiers.  I have found no less than 3 rapists in the  past year trying to get through...

And if I denied service to an innocent person with the same name and other identifiers, that's okay with me.  I can move onto the next client.  This is not an issue of absolutes but RISK MANAGEMENT.

and it's true that folks CAN get a fake ID and a profile and all that.  But mostly folks who do that have a big gain in mind, like financial fraud.  It's seems to easy for them to find non-screeners or light screeners and they go for that instead.

I get a full name, city/state, cell number, age and occupation and check the listed references.  I screen that info to include blacklists, criminal checks, google and the  like.  The verificaton service makes it sooo much easier not to have to check employment and every personal detail so it's a much lighter screening but I do my due diligence just the same.

How I got the information is never ever going to be publically posted, in any forum ever.

For the few providers who have decided that screening is not for them here is my motto:

IF YOU DON'T THINK YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO PROTECT....YOU DON'T!
