So good to see you back here! As for your observations on changes, I have one to add: the lack of moderators has become a real problem here. Just look at the Minnesota board; the incels have taken  over, and it's become a sausage fest. The site needs some major overhaul to make itself attractive to the providers again. On the flip side, as noted in another recent thread, Twitter seems to be dominated by providers who hate men. Where have all the happy mediums gone?

I remember my ter days. Couldn’t spend more than an hour without checking the boards and overall it was a good place for both business and banter, as long as used properly. Then fosta happened and now the pandemic.
My observation/question is that TER ever since it’s comeback never attracted most of the users back and the review culture has been damaged beyond repair now that everyone evolved into other way of doing business using more modern platforms that empower escorts more in my opinion.
For myself I have to say TER was mostly positive and while the review system can be frustrating and sometimes abused, i acquired some good clients through this site, but looking at it today (I remembered it existed so I decided to visit it for old time sake) I feel like this site hasn’t done a good job re inventing themselves and besides some loyal members (guys as well as escorts), I feel like it’s a dying platform. Anyone share this sentiment?

Hope you guys are doing great during these times!!!

It’s a tool in the arsenal. Combine it with other tools and you can gather enough information to make a decision.

But you're right, it ain't what it use to be. I figured by now we'd get some of the old users back on line or maybe cultivate new ones,  but it's not looking that way. The reviews are still the bread an butter of this site but it's at a slower pace...My thinking is, it is what it is and it's better than nothing.

But, yes, I think your summary is spot on. And I see no sign that TER has ANY plan to revive the site. That said, I'm not sure it's dying, just limping along and a shadow of its former self.

During the time TER was dark in the US, there were a few of us still here getting access by VPN.  Users online was rarely more than a hundred or two.  When it came back online, the  user numbers starting rising, but then they stalled out at around 3-4000 on average at any given time.  I remember when you were here before it was not uncommon to see a users online number between 60.000 and 100,000.  There are a lot of new members that were not here when you were here before, so there may still be some new business for you that wasn't here before if you stay active here.   Nice to see you back.

TER has not changed with the times.

The local boards were dying before fosta and there was  constant debate regarding scoring system,  profiles,  etc...

Prices are up and new ad sites emerged. t's no wonder that many providers learned to survive without TER and are unmotivated to return.

a good place to waste time and post nothings.

TER used to work well for me in a number of ways:

I used to meet ladies based upon their posts and personalities here. I think Twitter has supplanted that, however their is a litany of problems with Twitter for the guys. There was just a thread about that.

I used to find ladies from TER ads sometimes... now, other ad sites prevail.

I used to rely on the fact that a lady had TER reviews as a sign that she wasn't a fake or flake. Now many sites have some sort of "reviews", although not what TER has always viewed as a review. Of course, Tryst is now talking about adding them as well. Reviews will matter for a long time; the culture just seems to be changing.

I always looked at a provider's profile to know if we were a match,,, does she kiss? CBJ or BBJ? I paid more attention to this than reviews, frankly. No other site I am aware of offers this type of info, and I find it invaluable.

Finally, TER has the forums... a place where an entire conversation can be had and more substantial than a "Tweet". I don't see any other site with this capability; it's a shame the forums weren't more friendly and welcoming to the gals. I think they are now, but hey, that's just my opinion.

I personally do not much like having to peruse multiple platforms for info and features that TER used to have all in one place. Do providers really like paying for all of these different platforms?

In the end, though, you are right. TER has declined and lost relevancy. Even if it became much more SWer positive, it still might not be able to come back to pre-FOSTA/SESTA prominence. But I hesitate to say "Never".

Sasha, welcome back.  We need more providers on this site, so please hang around.  You are part of the future for TER, as are all providers.

At this point, with the exception of a few ladies, the boards have become a sausage club.

At the risk of stating the obvious, COVID has put a huge damper on the hobby, IMHO.   It is my hope that COVID is the reason TER is lagging in it's come back.

Business travel has been slow to come back.  Prior to the outbreak I traveled twice a month.  In February it will be a year since I flew.

Being stuck in one market can, particularly in a small county, limit the provider options thus limit the reviews.  In my case i have submitted only three reviews this year.  Normally the number is at least double the amount.

So please stay on the boards, at least weekly.  We need a woman's point of view.

send Sasha a ticket to Minnesota.

and you might be in luck with Van, You might be the beneficiary of this round of Federal Stimulus money. That's what he did with his last Gummint Check. He used it to get "stimulated" I can't think of a better use of the money. lol

Because one of the leaders at it closed it’s doors for too long, giving leeway to providers to take the steering wheel and move to other platforms who empowered them more. Other websites tried it and quickly stopped their review system. That’s just the social media aspect of it. There’s also the abuse from hobbyists, threatening bad reviews if the escort didn’t agree to a variety of requests. I overall stand by what I said about the review culture being in decay and I think there’s very little thinking on how to bring the review culture together with social media platforms.
I always had mixed feelings about it, but I have to admit it propelled my business when I first started so I wish it was still a little bit more of a factor in escorting but if you ask most escorts we all will say we are sort of glad it’s a thing of the past.

The issue that led to the creation of TER and its rise -- too little honesty and accountability in this business --still exists. Personally, I hope TER isn't dead and they figure out some way to reinvigorate it. I just have no idea what that way would be.
