Every time I submit a problem report and get the ad link on my profile changed to one I actually, you know, created and approved myself, a few weeks later it changes back to a City Vibe ad I never authorized.

I gave up.

As I was putting together the list of ChiTown's most reviewed Ladies for June 2010, I noticed that a large number of providers' TER profiles included links to posts on Cityvibe and Backpage as their Ad Website, while the link to their original RS2K or Eros ad was totally gone or put as their Personal Website.

What upset me the most was that the TER profile of a lady I was the first to review had her link changed to a Cityvibe post instead of a link to the RS2K ad I originally included.

I contacted her and several other ladies that had their Ad Website links changed on their TER profiles and all of them confirmed that they did not submit any posts or ads on Cityvibe or Backpage.

So, it looks like that someone other than a provider is making posts for them on Cityvibe and Backpage and then submitting Problem Reports to TER and changing their TER profiles.

To me, this is a BIG PROBLEM!

Could it be that Cityvibe and Backpage are trying to increase the number of hits on their websites by doing all this?

I can't speak on BackPage, because to my knowledge I have never been on there/posted without my consent.

However, Cityvibe has an unbelievably nasty habit of pulling information out of lady's ads, mixing and matching until some Frankenad is produced, and then filling their empty space with this.

This creates massive headaches for the ladies. Example: I was in San Diego a short while ago. After I left, I received a half dozen emails from individuals saying that they saw my Cityvibe ad and would love to see me when I arrived in town the following week. Huh?? I had to email these gentlemen back and explain I had just left their city, then explain why a fake ad with incorrect dates and all around wrong information was up in the first place, and then track down said ad.

Talking with Cityvibe does not help. They will take down the ad if you are vicious enough, but rest assured it will be replaced, and TER will put it up as your new ad link. Talking to TER creates the same temporary solution with no permanent way of resolving this issue.

To put it simply, they're in cahoots, it causes problems for both the ladies and the gentlemen, and it's all around just plain retarded.

You are being incredibly nice. They are complete assholes who's only aim is increase traffic to their sites. The Web is still very much the wild, wild west. You can expect more and better of the worst that they offer.

Eve's response above is mostly correct.  CityVibe told me to "get a lawyer" if I wanted the unauthorized ad removed.

TER has advertising agreements with both CityVibe and Backpage to link to their ads for the ladies when they exist.  CV and BP steal ads and create them to get the links.  TER honors their agreement to link to those ads.  And around and around we go...

CV and BP have no ability to put those links on the profile, that's all in the hands of TER.  I wish something would be done about it.

(Last time I said this I got banned and delisted.  Curious to see the response now that there is new ownership...)

Well, not fighting but I did spend a lot of time talking with at least three different Cityvibe representatives to remove the unauthorized ads of me. They removed them, but guess what?...a new unauthorized Cityvibe ad of me was posted today. I’m certain this ad of me will be listed on my TER profile, if Cityvibe doesn't pull it soon. And Cityvibe will not remove the TS profile someone posted of me, though I've requested it time after time and I'm a natural born woman with DD's.

Anyway, I no longer have the energy to deal with this issue. I just wish it didn’t exist.

Thank you for listening.

"Sponsored by Cityvibe"  This is really all you need to know.  TER, CV and BP have been in bed together for a while now.  In classic CV fashion the ads renew automatically even if the lady is no longer active. A former fave of mine retired three years ago yet her BP ad renews once or twice a year and links to her old agency reviews.  Pretty silly if you ask me and most likely very annoying for providers.

The way you describe the business relationship between TER, CV, and BP
That they are “in Bed together”.

Thank You
2010 = 28

City vibe has an ad for me that includes 2 year old pictures, rates, and old number thankfully but same email address. They will not remove it. What is this? I'm scared talking about this will get me banned from TER since they have a partnership.

Use to upset me SO SO MUCH that:
1. I didn't even want to be posted on Cityvibe who also lists girls years out of the biz

2.cityvibe uses pictures that are so old I look little like the 30yr old 140lb-er of 10yrs ago.

3.TER lists the unauthorized city vibe as my MAIN ad and my personal website with all the accurate pics and info as the 'alternative' website. (couldn't they AT LEAST make the incorrect and unwated cityvibe ad no. 2 ?

After years of bitching.  I finally threw in the towel. At least the pics on cityvibe are from the times I use to cut out my face so when I finally retire, cityvibe ... who will still have my ad up a decade later, won't be a impairment of my next incarnation into civilian life.

I relaxed, took a deep breath and direct anyone who calls to my personal website.
It is better to let it be and forget about it.
With the happy thought that it is a free ad and whatever.. it gets my name out in some capacity.
Anyone with any modicum of intelligence will find my REAL website anyways.  *I hope.. haha *

I recently put an ad here on TER for a visit for two days in PA, i then got an email from cityvibe for a week long ad in that area...

Actually, my P411 profile was pulled and placed on cityvibe and it cannot be removed or changed.

I really feel bad for the guys who are reading these posts as we ladies have no control over them...

unless it give them bragging rights over the number of providers on their site.   But if they are really fake ads and hobbyists/providers are complaining about false information, who does that benefit??!!

It benefits by looking like a larger directory of providers to its prospective paying clients: other providers.

If a CV only put up the 12 ads for which it was being paid in X-city instead of including the fakes for a total of 57, it's appearance as a viable advertising option would diminish.

This is the same tactic used by the new upstart escort directories. They appropriate existing ads to populate their site and so they can market to the escort community as a legit option.

Every time I submit a problem report and get the ad link on my profile changed to one I actually, you know, created and approved myself, a few weeks later it changes back to a City Vibe ad I never authorized.

I gave up.
