With all the talk lately of fake reviews, peoples thoughts that they jeopardize safety, that they cause the providers unnecessary stress (did I see him? I dont remember him! I never do THAT in session!), that they give inflated scores (mostly) thus giving the guys bad info etc etc etc is it time to re-think the free 15 days for writing reviews? It just seems like the negatives (the bogus reviews) far outweigh the positives (giving incentive to guys to write reviews) at this point. Numerous, numerous examples lately of ladies claiming bogus reviews from London to BadCollegeGirl to Taylor Steele to many others, etc. Would this idea drastically reduce legitimate new reviews? Any other ideas to reduce/eliminate bogus reviews? Hopefully since this issue is an important one and affects everyone in the TER community, the mods will leave this on the GD board rather than move it to the much less viewed S&P board. Thoughts?

This has always happened, for about as long as TER has been around. There have always been fake reviews and there have always been complaints. I dont think there are any more lately. Just because there were several complaints the same day, you think it is more common now. I think not.

In any case, taking away the free VIP days would definitely cut down on reviews submitted. Both fake ones and real ones.

I agree with julie on this...if those who don't like it...find a different site where you can be sure that every single review is legit.  But how are you going to know if the hookers are really 35 y/o...and NOT 45 or 50+?  It's a shell game more often than not.

I want to say that not one of my reviews are fake both good and terrible. ... Set a limit of 2 reviews for new users getting up to "free" 30 days VIP access.

The first 2 reviews MUST be done within a 30 day time frame after the session with the provider, not the 90 day timeframe.  

That way, it will give the "tire kickers" 30 days to see if TER is right for their needs.

If so, they can pay up their VIP fees and pay whatever plan they choose. After their 2nd review, all subsequent reviews will follow the same current TER rules.

If not, those folks can go elsewhere or they can stay, but will be unable to post more reviews until they pay for the VIP access.

Will that reduce the number of bogus reviews? Maybe some... by how much? It's hard to say until this kind of plan is implemented by TER. After a period of 6 months, TER can review the stats to see if this helps with reducing the number of bogus reviews.

That's just for the -new- users... what about the folks who have been here a while? That's a tough one.

For hobbyists who have VIP  and who have some caution and some knowledge about how the system works (whether you back channel or not), the system works.  At least for the hobbyists, and less but still ok for the providers.Not perfectly, sure. Neither  do the Reviews on Amazon or on anything else.  I even find the numbers very useful as an initial screening tool

The key for me is to look at the number of reviews and of scores and  patterns of both the providers and of the reviewers, and to read the websites carefully, if available.  Probably, I've been lucky, and YMMV, but I have yet to have a really bad experience (I don't count a couple of NCNS's as really bad). Another clue for ladies who post is how other provider posters seem to react to them.

I don't follow the policies board, but I have yet to see a practical overall replacement suggested here.  Some useful tweaks, sure.  And some presumably valid complaints about Admin execs the system.  But people, we have an open substantial and detailed advertising and reviewing system of a highly illegal activity.  Not too shabby.

I am not implying that anyone should stop complaining.  Those complaints make readers aware of issues even if Admin ignores them, and help the system work.

As to the "let's fight with CCPA " offshoot to this thread, I have nothing to say except I am making popcorn.

But, I agree that the free 15 days adds to the problem.
The girls will always complain when they see a review they don't like. It is what it is.
In TER's defense, however, I will say that a girl once challenged a review of mine a few yrs ago, and had it pulled. TER told me they'd re-post it if I sent them emails between the girl and me to confirm that I'd seen her. My review was written to be anonymous because that's the way I do it. I didn't send my emails to TER because I didn't want to risk my anonymity. So the review stayed down, no biggie to me.
The point is that TER did respond to the girls complaint, and did give me the chance to rebut. I don't know if they take every complaint seriously, but my experience makes me think that if a girl challenges a review TER responds.

Fake reviews...good or bad, do not help anyone. I also think that guys should not be let off the hook so easily. It seems ALL a guy has to provide is proof he saw a girl, to be able to trash her in a review. How easy would it be for an ATF to say "Hey Johnie, I really hate that bitch Stacy. I agree with your general POV, but disagree that allowing fake reviews to stand does not put other providers at risk..yes, it does! A guy writing some fiction when he has actually spent time with a lady is one thing CPA, but a guy claiming to have seen a provider who has no clue who he is, well, that is another story.

Sure, some guys embellish reviews of their ATF to the point of sounding as if they are in love with her, but that is to be expected. It is also to be expected that newbies grade higher, and Dan proved that with his thread about wanting to go back and change his high scores years later. Still, none of those things put other providers at risk, because the lady actually KNOWS the guys who reviewed her.

How many stupid hooktards just take a guy's reviews at face value and don't bother calling any of the ladies on the list? A shit load! So, yes it does put others at risk if a guy who reviews me goes out and kills the next girl, because she was too stupid to actually call me to find out if I really saw him.

I can't MAKE a lady screen the way I do, but I can certainly do a small part in cleaning bs up, and having a clear conscience. I agree about not posting it on the boards, and you've never seen me do that before. I have been here since 2008, and had it been a fake bad review, it would have been handled in private, as it is worse to draw more attention to a bad review. Not the case though was it? I tossed a good score that actually helped my average, not the other way around.
