HIV isn't the only danger out there, and although some of these STD's are curable the damage that can be caused as a result of catching and bringing home an STD to your SO if you have one can certainly be irreversible. Not to be a prude.. I certainly understand the temptation. it's not an easy thing to stand before a beautiful woman in that moment and take the high road, but thankfully I have not yet crumbled to the challenge that these urges can present to us all.
I have even searched the boards for words of reassurance that I am thinking logically and not being overly paranoid but tend to come up empty and just continue to rely on my own sense of better judgment.
All I an say is be as careful and as safe as you can my brothers and sisters... for the sake of all of us because we are, all in this together, in more ways than one.

It was with a very experienced, highly rated and respected provider. She knew me and trusted me when I told her I am regularly tested, as I trusted her saying the same. She saw that I was having a bit of trouble getting off and suggested I remove the cover. She did ask that I deposit on her back, though, which I did. Even so, as a general rule, I don't think this is a great idea. Think Magic Johnson. Then think Hepatitis C, which is easier transmitted and really quite common, especially among Asian immigrants.

- Herpes/HPV can be transmitted from basic contact, even if there is a cover, and you can be infected with Herpes and never know. The incidence of herpes infections is supposed to be 25%. Lets assume that half of the providers out there are safer than on average, so that 50% of providers are infected with Herpes. With four BB sessions, you have it.
- The number of STDs which can be transmitted without a cover is quite large and they are quite common
- BB anal has a serious risk for HIV
- What about pregnancy? Knock knock!
- There are others, but this is a decent start
Lecture of the dangers of BFSB aside... I am sure that BB is more prevalent than we tend to think or want to believe. That's why it is all the more important for everyone to be careful. Even sharing test results is not fool proof, especially given the incubation for HIV antibodies. If a lady offers you BB on the first round, then you know she's offering it to anybody that asks, or doesn't ask. That's a huge risk.
If this were just about the risk to you, I would say have at and drop dead when you get there, but it isn't just about you. You put everyone else at risk, whether in the hobby or not.
You need to stop all hobbying, and get a complete screen. Wait for 3 months, and get screened again, and then another screen for HIV after another 3 months.

Ironically, was with a provider last week and after a flood of way too much talk and lots of instruction on what to do and exactly how to do it, I kind of lost interest. Good professional that she was, she began to make some real efforts to make me happy. As others have said, it is sort of like politics. No one knows who you are, what you're like from your posts/reviews, so what reason does anyone have for believing or not believing whhat you say. The same applies to annonimous posters claiming they did or didn't have BB something with an unnamed provider. Sadly some people with agendas will post numbers to skew the "poll" to whatever reality they want people to believe, or to toss a hand grenade in a crowded theater.
I think it's a significant question, I just give no credence to numbers posted by an alias in such a thread. I know why people would post this annonimously, I just think it inherently invalidates most if not all the replies.

Meanwhile, what he is revealing is IMPORTANT. He is putting us ALL on notice to be extremely vigilant because this hobbyist is going BB with providers. This means that both hobbyists and providers should generally be treated using universal precautions.
Flipping the OP's alias would only serve to discourage such important admissions in the future; thus leading us to be less vigilant.
Furthermore, when his alias is flipped, if he has reviews, it will automatically bring every provider he has reviewed under suspicion as being someone who is allowing BBFS and BB Anal -- even if that suspicion is undeserved. He may just be blowing smoke for all we know.

I can't dictate how providers should run their business. Some providers simply charge extra for BB. So maybe if this guy were outed, they would put him on their "clients I want to see" list. Remember -- he isn't acting alone.

The OP asked for aliases to be used, so I did so -- but perverted the intent by outing it.
There is a stereotype among some providers that any hobbyist using an alias is automatically doing so for some nefarious purpose. There are even a couple of providers who sort of "keep score" and say (for example) "26% of johngaltnh's posts are aliased."
By outing the aliases occasionally I demonstrate that the fundamental assumption is false, plus also demonstrate that an alias isn't really an alias.
This is my way of supporting retention of the alias feature -- something unique to TER.
I have used it from time to time. I just don't like aliased attack posts. I also dislike careless slobs who endanger others with their stupidity. Thanks to many that responded to this thread. I wasn't sure what to do about my recent experience until I read some of these replies. I will be taking a break from sex until I can be thoroughly tested. I may also stop getting BBBJ and DATY, just because the risk / reward just isn't good for me.
I have also decided to be open and honest about about my experiences, short of outing the others involved. I'll just say that even well reviewed ladies may not be using safe practices.
