Has anyone ever hobbied out of sheer boredom?

I hobby when I'm bored more often than for any other single reason. If finances aren't a hindrance it's certainly beats watching TV to try and cure an otherwise blah evening!  A FBSM is another good option in this regard as well.

Isn't that the reason most do ?  Bored at home why not go out and get pleasure ?

I'm too occupied w/ work, family and other passions to get "bored" really.  I hobby out of sheer craving for the pleasure of it.

I stated to hobby a few years ago because of
boredom. The problem is that this stuff is very
addicting. Yes it has helped solving the boredom
problem but now it's a financial problem. Can't
say no to my little head.

No but I've taken sabbaticals from the hobby out of sheer boredom.

Sorry...at 47, I am still a horny bastard!.  And the choice is limited only by time and ability to pay.  Boredom?  Not for me...
