.At least not on a long term basis. Yes it's not easy in America as a single person to manage economically, giving the fact that rent keep going up in many areas, out pacing income. Many areas are now being gentrified. Companies going around buying up houses for sale on the market and converting them into high cost rental. Where the hell are our local representatives...Well they are all sellouts. People need to wants up,as to what's going on.
I'd ask this over in the legal board or you'll just get an answer from somone like me LOL.
Section 8 is welfare right? You're running a business out of a home given to you by the state and not paying taxes on that business right? I'm pretty certain welfare fraud is a federal offense. Best check with some experts.
It's not a federal offense but it still is a crime, to be sure, and a great way to end up in the papers. Can't you just see the headlines now, "Prostitute Busted For Running $ervice Out Of Governemnt Housing". Kinda hard to believe the question was even asked.
If you are arrested, doing incall in your apartment, you will definitely be evicted. If you will be removed from the Sec. 8 program is not as clear. Your landlord has the right to evict anyone that is doing criminal acts on the property and would be an idiot if they didn't do it.
Sorry, I am sure what you are asking. The lady had a specific question about whether her government assisted housing would be affected by an arrest at that housing. Sec.8 does not apply to people that own homes only those that rent. Any program that assists in home purchases might remove assistance but most likely doesn't give a damn unless there is the possiblity of the home being seized, as in drug trafficing.
What is that question we hear from some providers about whether we prefer they earn money in this manner or have to support them with tax dollars. Seems like this procider has the best of both worlds tax free income and tax supported housing. Sounds fair to me. I know she is just asking this question for a friend.
You have to start somewhere. I have known many ladies in this biz that started out on welfare and got off of it after escorting for a short time. Usually there was a couple of kids and a dead beat dad involved but for whatever reason she may just want to know so she can make an educated decision as to whether or not incall at her place is a good Idea...does this qualify as a Pollyanna provider statement?
If you see 10 clients a week you're making far more than most of your clients - doesn't anybody feel guilty about being a welfare cheat anymore? I mean come on - why does the state owe YOU cheap housing when you're capable of paying rent?
