Does anyone know the %chances of catching HIV from a BBBJ.Me and the fellows had this argument and most have admitted to always receiving bbbj's and never catching it,A doctor once admitted to me that unless messing with some one with sores in their mouth my chances of catching it are about the same as winning the lottery and porn stars would not do them if it was so easily spread right?

Yeah very interesting, and useful.  It actually seems to confirm, or at least not deny, my opinion having seen all sorts of these sorts of statistics that (at least for the male receiving from a female) the risk of the male contracting an STD from a BBBJ is lower than having intercourse even with a use of a condom [for the intercourse].  Just my opinion mind you, and confirmed only by my anecdotal evidence.  In years of seeing providers I have always stuck to BBBJ or FBSM, no intercourse.  In all that time I have never contracted a single STD.  And yes I do get myself tested frequently.  That’s probably at least a couple hundred BBBJs on as many separate occasions from maybe 20-40 different providers.

One more question/observation about the statistics in this particular link.  It does seem to imply that most of the data comes from the experience of gay men in male-male sex.

I love to skydive. I also enjoyed bungee jumping once but decided that the rewards to risks ratio was not for me.

I love daty and bbbj. There are risks to these activities, but as an informed "consumer" I consider the risks / rewards balance to be appropriate for me.

I get tested at least every three months and expect (rightly or wrongly) that the providers I see are also being regularly tested and making choices that fit their own risk / reward balance.
