I got into the habit a long time ago of checking all my open windows (alt-tab) before I put my notebook to sleep and once in a while I do forget about a P411 profile hanging out there. I don't really find it annoying I double check everything anyway just in case. That's ingrained in me now.
I also use a separate browser window in incognito mode to do any and all hobby-related browsing. When you open a provider's profile on P411, it opens in a new pop-up window. I was perusing for my weekend date, closed out p411 on my computer and then went to the gym. When I got home and went to work on my computer, the screen came on and there it was - the pop-up window for the last lady I was looking at. The wife never looks at my computer as far as I know, since it's in my home office, so I don't think she saw, but it is a reminder to be very careful and make sure ALL windows are closed when you're done browsing. I wish P411 would change the way it works so that it doesn't open separate windows which can be easily left open or lost behind other windows only to reappear at the most inconvenient times, but it is what is. Just be careful out there.
first of all pop ups are annoying.. Most pop up blockers will block your content unless you allow an exception. This day and age, most browsers are equipped with pop blocking capabilities. So if you are getting Pop Ups, you might want to also check your browser settings to see if there is exception for P411.
I am not sure how savvy your wife is technically speaking, but if she were to at any time use your machine (let's say her PC breaks down and she ends up using yours temporarily), she might discover that you been to these sites. A suspecting wife who is savvy, will know where to look.
Another thing.. It is super easy javascript fix to make something open in a tab v/s open it as a pop up. I am surprised that P411 is still using pop ups.
Additionally, why isn't your computer automatically configured to go to sleep after X number of minutes of inactivity? This will not only save you on electric bill, but also will ensure that your exposure time is minimized. Mine is after 10 min of inactivity. Again, super easy to do.

My computer is over 10 years old. I've shut it down several times a day and it is no worse for wear. If I leave it on I use the hotkey to lock the screen. It boots in the time it takes to take a sip of coffee. But saving energy is so 1970's.
Burner phone is great if you want to hide it from the LE, but terrible if you want to hide the activities from your domestic overlord.

Just like smoking or not smoking, house or apartment, domestic or foreign, cleanshaven face or facial hair, Betty or Veronica, here's no "one right answer" that works across the board for each and every person.
If for whatever reason my personal cellphone, my laptop computer are searched, there is absolutely zero content there about my history with escorts. My personal preference is to go the burner phone route. I have never said It's the right choice for anyone else, I am not saying it's better than the other option for anyone else.

Also delete your browser history and or use private browsing ...also if signed into your google account .go to google settings and delete your activity history... you can go online to learn how to do that...also get something like ccleaner anyway to routinely delete cookies ...... and one hidden item most dont know about .... your browser keeps zoom setting for each site ..need to delete those as well as that shows what sites you visited ...that can be a challenge to find. Good luck
Also, consider using BleachBit.

My solution to wife/children looking at my computer is a 4 character password that locks my computer. It locks automatically after 2 minutes of no activity, and I can simply lock it when ever I want...to go to the bathroom for example.
No problem downloading porn [or whatever] in the background even when the computer is locked.
Beyond this I use separate browsers for my adult entertainment stuff vs "real life" stuff. Google chrome for all my personal activity is also linked to my phone and i-cloud. Opera browser for TER, P411, porn, an adult oriented YouTube account, my hobbyland Twitter account, my Only Fans acct [which I only use for chat], and my porn downloading which runs day and night
in the lower right corner of the P411 screen. Closes all P411 windows and redirects to Google.
Of course, you have to remember to click on it before you leave your computer. 😏
Pop ups are not that uncommon when surfing. So you could plausibly deny intentionally visiting some site, just say it must have popped up from some link you accidently clicked on, etc.
A few basic rules for mongering, most learned from mistakes made the prior 25 years:
1) Never use a personal phone or family computer! EVER!! (And I turn off and take apart my real phone a few miles away from destination because it is always tracked.)
2) Use a private PO box address on any and all hotel accounts and travel programs! This is CRUCIAL if you book a room!
3) Obviously ALWAYS use a fake email address. And try hard to never use this email address on any non-hobby website. (I have made this mistake...annoying!)
4) Use a burner phone, but only on event days, and keep it turned off and apart in a gun safe every day when not in use. Clean it after each use. If you need to save a number or name, do so via an email account as a note to yourself.
5) Use a proxy server for all such activities -- I use Avast proxy and log-in via a Canada address. (I forget sometimes, but try for 100%)
6) Use a track cleaner such as CCleaner, MacWasher, or WindowWasher to clean all cookies and history
7) When in doubt, manually clean history and cookies.
8) Use a code to lock computer when inactive -- I have fallen asleep late at night and had my wife or kids wake me up with my laptop open... but the screen had closed itself automatically.
9) I use P411 and do not meet anyone who requires my real email address, ID, or name. NO NEED, no exceptions!
10) Never use a credit card at a strip club, or when playing....Cash is king!
11) NEVER use real Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, or other social media. Set up another account if necessary. (Can be helpful in Asia and Europe.)
12 Have fun and stay safe!
I probably have a few others, but these are a good start.
if you're going to go that far
Not just off but airplane mode. Battery or no Battery and a Electro-Static bag...
And if you don't mind not using apps just text and phone, skip any accounts to get apps.
Make sure its a Phone Operating System that it won't beg for you to tune your Location and wi-fi on all the time.
Tips: Skip Flip-Phones that don't have a full keyboard. Because if you can't type at a good speed. it's like being the old Heavy Breather guy from the 70's movies.
Just get a copy of a Operating System. Linux mint is fine and a Small 120gb SSD under $40. And swap the drives. Some high-end motherboards after 2015 might have something to turn off in the bios.
Buy a old PC or motherboards Put together a old XP or windows 7 PC for old games or Photos.. Or A Jukebox PC and Swap the drives when you want to do something else. it's as easy as changing a phone battery. if you don't want to leave the 2nd drive in the PC case... get a external case for it but leave it lose inside add tape with repair or 1986 College football on it...
