Music is fine but certainly not a necessity.  But if you want mood music, here are some non-smooth jazz ones I like from time to time (because smooth jazz is lame and a soundtrack for softcore Cinemax flicks).

Babyface:  The Day
Eric Benet's first record
Anything by Sade
Anything by Enigma (though this sounds a bit dated, might be good for Teatro Erotica LOL)
Natalie Cole:  Unforgettable (if you are into Nat King Cole)
First Diana Krall record

Yes, I am dating myself because I still call them records.

unless I have a Younger date, (like someone in their 20's.)
then sometimes I put on the Nickelback, Eminem......    and anything else on my IPOD that's a bit more "current".

I have a BOSE portable sound dock. It's awesome, has a lithium battery so I can take it to outcalls and not have to worry about "where can I plug this in" at.   It was a little pricey....around 200 if I remember right.

I keep the volume pretty low on it, so it's not a distraction.   I want the focus to be on us, and not what's playing....

since I do incall, if they have a computer near by, I'll suggest using Pandora, then we just discuss what type of music we like, which is always a nice icebreaker.

I like live music so I always bring a 7 piece band to all my sessions.

The hookers seem to like it as well.

My favorite time was when JLo (a personal request of mine) joined us...after she finished her sets she got down and nasty with us  LOL

Does  not have to be romantic or slow. I prefer rock, its more upbeat and provides a great rhythm. Bands like Volbeat, Seether, I have to say Breaking Benjamin lol, obviously many more. I love having music on.

Just have to make sure that both (or all) of you can find the beat.  I find it very enjoying when the person I'm with and I are in unison with the music. Rockin' to the beat.  And yes, that Enigma album, record, CD, MP3 whatever it is, is certainly a good one (just not the song "Return to Innocence") in addition to Sade.

The soundtrack to the movie "Boxing Helena" had this really cool backround music playing during all the sex scenes.  It was kind of techno.  Would lov e to know the artist and name.

If you ever find that soundtrack & a provider asks you about it,  don't mention any of the plot points to that film.  "Boxing Helena" synopsis below (from Wikipedia):

" Nick Cavanaugh (Julian Sands) is a lonely Atlanta surgeon obsessed with a woman named Helena (Sherilyn Fenn). After she is injured in a grievous hit-and-run motor vehicle accident in front of his home, he kidnaps and treats her in his house surreptitiously, amputating both of her legs. Later, he amputates her healthy arms as well."

I really don't care one way or the other. If it's outcall, I don't set up music or candles or anything like that, but she is welcome to if she wants to. If it is incall, obviously she can set up what she wants. If she wants to play music, I'm okay with anything except rap.

Ever since J Lo found out she was Number One on my Top Ten List of what Turns me On....she always checks with ME prior to going to meet any new friends....  Kind of like getting a reference of sorts.

Um, so since I gave her the "go ahead".....   that's why she really showed up there for ya.

so, you really have Me to thank.

Eminem... that one sounds a bit odd, and could be a bit distracting...

Oh hell yes... just like that... don't stop... ... ...Hi my name it... ... what the hell did I just say?

but whatever works for those 20 somethings :)

"Hi, my name is, my name is (What? Who?) My name is Slim Shady Hi..."

"Hi kids, do you like violence? (Yeah, yeah, yeah) Wanna see me stick Nine Inch Nails Through each one of my eyelids? (Uh, huh)"

"My English teacher wanted to flunk me in junior high Thanks a lot, next semester I'll be thirty-five I... chased him with a stapler And stapled his nuts to a stack of papers (Oww)"

"Walked in the strip club... then stuck my dick in the tip cup..."

Try Norah Jones - All Your Love for something very sultry. A little more new style is Portishead -Glory Box. A good rock out song is Hootie and the Blowfish - Use Me Up. Finally, old school, anything by Etta James like -I Want To TaTa You , Baby.  Hope you enjoy!

Massive Attack's "Angel," especially if the deed is going to be a little on the kink side.
And, God Bless Risky Business, Phil Collins' "In the air tonight."
