I love it. Phoenix too. I got ripped there about ten times over a four year period. I suppose in your home town you can just keep making appointments from pay phones and not showing, or arrange to meet at nice restaurants and bars, and going there to watch incognito. In DC I've been lucky and have no bad feelings toward anyone at the present. Being ripped off is worse by a quantum leap from a vix just saying: "I'm not going to suck that big thing!" "But sweetheart, I'll only slip it in your cute little mouth a little ways!" LOL

Dear TER,

I have a few suggestions for TER to fight against rip-off.

i.  Rip-off Board:  The creation of an exclusive Rip-off board. This board would be for members only, and would contain pertinent information about the scam artist, such as:

   - Name and alias used

   - Webpage
~  It would be great if the actual pictures were captured
(This way it becomes a permanent record. You can delete your ad, but we got you babe ;-).)

   - Telephone number(s)

   - Favorite scamming method
         ~ Bait & Switch
         ~ Pre-pay
~ Upselling or hustling for additional $$$
         ~ Rushed session, etc

   - Collaboration
~ Exchanging Rip-off info with other review boards
~ Contacting web-hosting service about false advertisement (such as Lovings, Eros, Exotics, etc.)
~ Maintaining statistics of Rip-off by web hosting companies

   - Suggestions
~  Maintaining some FAQs about how to avoid getting ripped-off

This could turn into a powerful tool to keep the providers honest.  Consider this scenario, if a provider pulled a scam stunt ...

   - A TER rip-off review is posted

   - Provider is contacted by Eros, etc for verification of personal information (bait & switch).  If they don't comply, down comes their ad.

   - If enough complaints are filed about con artist who take the money and run, or something along those lines the web-hosting firm may never do business with that provider again.  After all, there is something to be said about truth in advertising!

Eventually, these con artists will be barred from posting false ads on the web -- thus, saving us all a lot of heartburn, time, energy and $$$ ;-).

Just some food for thought.  What are your thoughts?

Cordially,

- The “K” Man

Yours is one of the most intelligent useful posts I've ever seen.
You deserve a bbjteoku from the provider of your choice for that!
Even experienced old Popes like me get ripped a few times a year, and a system such as yours might have saved me a few $Grand over the past few years that I could have spent on excellent bbjtekous from busty young blondes with full pouty 3-speed lips & tongues, and wet vac skills. LOL.
We also need to take a pro-active stand in educating providers to be first rate or get out of the biz.
Most professions and trades have a code of ethics, and vixens are the oldest profession of all.
I talk with newby providers a little bit about reviews and customer service, just to test the waters. If they have no computer and speak poor English, however, it is just more of a challenge. Maybe there should be a vixen school with branches in Santa Monica and South Beach, where vixens can learn to give marathon bbj, enjoy extended daty, do multiple positions, talk dirty, and most of all to say: "Oh My God, that's Huge!I bet it tastes like French vanilla!" LOL

In a perfect world this would be a good thing....But as we have it, this isn't a perfect world. The Rip Off provider will just change her name and move, then start all over again, and again, and again...you get my point..

Throbber,

Cosmo's suggestions are fantastic.  I think it is a step in the right direction.

The provision of capturing the providers picture permanently, and not her weblink, helps alleviate some of the concerns you articulate.

For instance, let's consider the following:

1.   If a provider is based in the Washington DC area, puts her real pictures up on the web, and then plays the upselling game or the session doesn't flow as mutually agreed.

Guess, what?!  She is now on candid camera.  The person who got scammed can post a report including the provider's picture.  She could change her name, number, etc ... but it would rather difficult for her to change her physical appearance.  Well! Perhaps, she could change her appearance with cosmetic surgery.

If she starts the scams again, there will be a permanent profile maintained.  So, she can run, but can't hide!

2.   If the provider pulls a fast one on a bait and switch -- the pictures used by the provider could be maintained on file.  Her approach would be documented, and that would be invaluable.  Old habits die hard, and eventually this con artist would provide just about enough clues to identify who she is.

Also, when TER or the person who got taken contacts the web-provider, pressure can be applied on that end.   I know for fact a friend who was duped this way.  He contanted the web-provider (Eros), and told them what transpired.  He discussed the issue about "truth in advertising".  They agreed with his opinion, and assured him they would take appropriate action.   They contacted the provider, and asked her to supply them with proper identification.   The provider did not respond, and the ad was taken down.

This is a GREAT way of permanently filtering scam/con artists. In this approach, the provider will not be able to use adult web-providers to advertise.   Mission accomplished.

There are so many threads about how people have been taken for a ride.  It's a shame that there is no recourse to the money.  The providers know this full well -- who are you going to complain to?

Since there in no adult entertainment BBB, this concept is the next best thing!  Like The Long Schlong said, I nominate Cosmo to get a free session with the provider of his choice -- hopefully, TER can foot the bill (LOL).

Ciao,
- Mi6

You bring up a lot of good points.  Most of which we have addressed in one way of another.

Exclusive VIP rip-off board -  that is not inline with the way we do things at TER.  We would like everyone, VIP or NOT, to be able to find out about rip-offs.

We currently keep permanent records on Names/phone number/and actions on all providers, not just rip-offs.  We cannot stop pictures here because we do not have the licenses to do so.

Collaboration - We really don't share well with other review boards. Most malls have VIP memberships here.  Unfortunately a large portion of income comes from the bad providers.  That income is hard for a lot of malls to "give up"  The best way is the users to complain directly to the mall.

Keep the providers honest - Most of the time, honest providers are, dishonest ones are not.  I don't think many convert from one to the other.  We just do our best to let every one know which is which.

Hope this helps.

under escort reviews there is a section for ripoffs, if you look at nikkis' reviews you find 3 people ripped off in feb and 1 in apr. i guess the 1 in apr didn't believe the 3 reviews from feb. eden ripped 4 people off, and etc. if i see 1 rip off review. i don't want to be the 2nd one. the risk does not equal the reward for me. you can not protect people from themselves or make people use what's there for there benefit. the ad malls don't really care if we get ripped off, keep in mind whose paying them, it's not us. they will give their customer a break as long as they get paid.

I have a better idea. Why not have a group of hobbyists rent a room in a nice place. Then start calling some of the ripoffs and setting up outcall appts. When they arrive we could all (in unison) shout "surprise"!!!!!!!!. Then we could politely ask her to leave since the next girl should be arriving any minute. If she or her driver complained about the "ripoff" perpetrated upon them we could all (again, in unison) say "aw, poor baby!!!!"
I figure we could "sting" 10-20 girls a night. It won't put them out of business but it would do to them what they try to do to us: be a royal pain in the butt.
We could have "pools" to see which girl got the maddest, which one put up the loudest fight, etc. etc.
I'm sure a lot of hobbyists (and I would be one) would love to give them a dose of their own medicine. Make them come out and spend money on gas and a driver and waste their time.
In fact, a few years ago I did just that in Phoenix. I was there in the springtime for a convention and got burned by an agency cash and dash artist. She was cute, petite and had long red hair.
Well, 4 months later I was back in Phoenix for a professinal seminar and still had her phone number in my appt book. I called the agency and told them I was partial to redheads. They recommended the same girl who ripped me off (she was still using the same name). She came to the hotel. I was waiting in the bar near the lobby and had a nice view of the entrance. I watched her go upstairs in the elevator. Since there was no one in my room I knew she wouldn't be up there very long. About twenty minutes later I saw her get off the elevator on the first floor. She was steamed!!!! After she left I called the agency to confirm my appt. They told me the girl had been there but left when I didn't answer the door. I told them that I was in the shower and that she didn't wait long enough. I apologized profusely and asked them to send her back and I would add $100 to her fee. They bought it. A few minutes later she called and again I apologized for the "mix up" . I told her I was very lonely and anxious to see her. I repeated my offer of an extra $100. She said "OK". I had to leave for a business cocktail party so I don't know what happened when she arrived. There were no phone messages waiting for me when I returned. So I assumed she just got burned twice. It was so much fun. It would be lots of fun to do it on a larger scale. Anyone agree??????

In a bait and switch, upseller, or cash n dash I have found that an agency or some kind of organizer is involved, as the start up costs of ads, phone numbers, photo's etc is costly. As a victim in the past,, I chose to hit them back where it hurt them the most, the walllet! Same place it hurt me. I used a few computers, some internet faxing programs, and some public ip sites that mask your location and forward for faxes, e-mails, etc. I simply setup the programs to start faxing the advertised numbers every 10 seconds for the duration of the prime time hours. This made their advertised phone numbers useless, saved anyone else from getting burnt by that number, and prevented them from making any money from that ad and that phone. It worked, as during off hours I got several calls asking to back offf and they would refund my cash. I knew better than that, and replied they should go and f themselves. When the ad changed numbers, so did the faxes. It woorked for me, and I felt better too. LOL and no one was hurt that way again by them.
