i only write reviews for about half the ladies i've seen. my policy with regard to reviews has been:

1) if it was a great experience, write

2) if it was a disaster (B&S, rip off), write

3) if there was absolutely no chemistry and i walk out after trying to make chemistry, service being available, i leave the money but don't write

i had a recent experience that falls into none of the above categories. service was available, i went for it, but there were problems. some on her part, some on mine.

she has friends that i have seen, some of whom i hope to see in the future. i worry about losing a nice guy reputation. i also worry about being taken advantage of because i am nice.

i am writing to sort it out for myself, do i post it? has anyone had experience being shunned by friends of a lady for whom you've given a less than stellar review?

we all have off days...so if you think it may have been just an off day, redo your appt and see how it pans out.
If it is bad again write the review then.
If it was not a good experience write the review and say what you said here that things just didn't click. just be honest no matter what you choose to do.

not as good... but you are willing to try again just wait til then and post a review on second date.  

Nervousness on both parties ruins alot and may not be as good...

at the session i indicated i didn't know how i could write a review. but i think i am beginning to see how i could write a version i could post.

There are some gentlemen who give nice ratings, but happen to have a few bad experiences, thus writing a *few* poor reviews. In my mind, that is normal. What is NOT normal are the gentlemen who only give poor reviews and every lady they see is a 4 - OK if you are drunk/she just laid there. Either these guys have horrible luck/research or they are simply miserable losers who like making others feel bad. I will pray for these lost souls.

Texcat: It appears you are fairly generous with your ratings. If you happen to have a bad experience, write about it, but be sure to include the fact that lack of connection was due to both parties in this case. Now if you notice the next 20 experiences of yours are all poor, then something is wrong with you and thus the shunning shall begin...

Personally, if I was in your position I would write the review. If clients only review when they had an outstanding or awful time, then the review system is of limited use because it does not cover the full range of experiences a provider offers.

However, I think that you should carefully consider what you write in the review. If there was no chemistry, then that was not the provider's fault and it is not really fair to penalize her for it. The "problems on her part" that you mention should be included in the review but they should be fairly put into the context of the overall experience and balanced with the good aspects of the session.

I suggest that you do write the review but put it away for a few days and return to it to reconsider whether what you have said is balanced and accurate. Once you are satisfied that the review is fair, you can post it with a clean conscience.

it is so unlikely that the next 20 experiences reported would be poor to average reviews.

on the basis of my current sample and procedure the odds of that are (1/18)^20 where i have 9 reviews, 8 non reviews because i left earlyish, plus this unique experience.

Some guys write reviews for the providers. Some guys write them for their fellow hobbyists.
When guys only write reviews with providers in mind, it shows.
Sometimes, having the "nice guy" reputation comes at the cost of credibility.

That gives your review credibility. It makes the good things about the lady more believable.

You've already wasted more time and effort thinking about this trivial issue, that you could have it written and done with by now.

this lady did not meet your expectations for performance (or the TER scorecard), then tell it like it happened.  As others have said, there will not be chemistry EVERY time.  Your other 9 reviews speak volumes about your ability to recognize a good performance when you experience one.

Having some insight on this particular matter, I would say do not write.  

NOW, let me be clear...that recommendation is borderline and is NOT based on any of the associated friends issue.  The friends part should not play in it at all.  If you have seen them, they already have an opinion of you.  Of the ones I know, they are all pretty independent minded.  I would not worry about that part of it.  Afterall, you are pretty much seen as a White Knight like many of us anyway.

But you sound torn regarding it because of the problems.  If the problems were unique to you, unique to the combination of you two, and unique to that session, then there is not much to be gained in doing a review.  If you sincerely believe it was just something out of the norm than it would not really serve anyone (other than perhaps fun reading).

This is all based on what little information you have provided however.  For what it is worth, I have also not done a review in that group because it was just such an unusual meeting.

a relatively bad review of a lady who had (up to that point) fairly reasonable reviews (mostly 8's and 9's).  I provided a 5 or 6 (these are all in performance (I actually gave her a 10 in appearance, as did several others).  The problems, while some were mine, were mostly hers.  A total, "you are here to $#@% and you are beneath my company, so get it overwith" type session.

was I happy?  nope!  did I post the review, knowing she was great friends with tons of connections!?  yup. I did.  Why?  for 2 reasons, part, first I was a bit angry that anyone would treat me that way and 2, I went back and reread every review of the lady - it was ALL in the written descriptions of their dates, I just was honest about it.  It bothers me a little when I see a woman with 8's, 9's and even 10's and NO 5's - 7's!  We ALL have off days.  

So if I go to someone with those high scores, I do expect that level of performance - for it means that the lady has services on offer, and that those services are of very high caliber...

remember, you pay for the session, but you also pay ter to provide you with complete and accurate information.... not including your experience in the data base would not be providing accurate and up to date information about the experience to be expected from this particular provider... all of it, good bad and ugly.  

Only once have I hesitated in writing  a review for a provider when I felt that I should say something, and that was when I could not find the correct way to describe what happened... hey!  happens.

And I answered it.
Take a few pamprin, and post in the morning.

If there were issues that in your honest opinion would affect *another* hobbyists session with her, make them clear without attaching judgment.

If you need to for clarity, be honest about whatever issue(s) you brought to the session that contributed to your less than happy result.

Writing 9 bad reviews and 1 good one would.

For the gentlemen who touch on your bad review checking how good all your others are will make this bad review stand out even more.

For the ladies it just shows you are honest and something wasn't right.

I don't think anyone will hold this against you and if they do then their not the friend you thought they were.

Write the events the way they happened give her performance numbers for what was given. One bad review isn't going to hurt any lady but it does shake them up a bit if their getting to comfortable with the attention their getting and starting to slack off on services.

asked a question seeking real opinions.  See, it takes personal character to let others know that one does not know everything.  It takes a real man to seek advice and help from others rather than to just bully one's way down an ill conceived path.

I write the first draft of my reviews soon after the experience...  as a draft in a secure place, not my own computer!  I revisit it a couple of times...  then I post.  I generally do review.

I DO NOT blame a lady for MY issues.  I look at how she reacts to ME & MY issues.  
SHE's supposed to be professional, willing & helpful.  If SHE is, then I can give her credit for that.  If SHE is not, then others who are less than perfect specimines deserve to know.  I am scrupliously honest but I'm not a mind reader & if there's room for doubt I have to give it to her.  

The only low review I've given was for a rush job that had me standing back in the street in half of the hour I'd left the donation for...

Ego check has posted under that handle for as long as I have been reading the Boards and has acquired what passes for good will on the Boards under this name. In fact if he ever uses his registered TER handle it would be a surprise.

    So your alias criticism is not really applicable to this kind of alias.

But if it is not anything she did, I will write a fair review detailing what we did and score her according to the TER guidelines.

It's not her fault if the chemstry isn't there, and as long as she was friendly and made a good effort to please me, that is what is important.

I'm sure that someone else who has the right chemestry will click with her, and there's no reason for that person to be persuaded differently.

You have the writing skills to properly convey the good, the bad, and the ugly about your experience.  Simply be honest.

Don't upgrade your scores to make anyone (you or her) feel better.
Don't leave out any key information that could help future potential clients make an informed decision.  If you have to, use the 'YMMV' caveat.

In my opinion, the entire idea behind the review process - indeed the very existence of TER - is to achieve the following:

To expose bait and switch situations and ROBs.

To properly identify the providers that will give you a 'back-alley, cum and run' type of experience.

To point out some providers that will appeal to particular tastes, while they may not appeal to others.

To highlight providers that are good at what they do.

To reward providers that are exceptional and deserve to be recognized as above and beyond most expectations.

Finally, if a provider decides to shun you for the type of reviews you write, there are only two conclusions.  Either she is not worth seeing because she is trying to tailor her review scores to game the TER system.  Or the reviewer has demonstrated through their history of reviews that they are either dangerous or simply so personally miserable that no one could please them.

You don't have anything to fear about falling into the second category.

it allows him to cover up his personality from the ladies.  That means he can still book under his real TER handle while masking a fact that seems pretty clear -- he knows his personality is so disagreeable that if the ladies knew it was really him, they wouldn't even see him for money.  

It is pretty sad that you have to have an alias in order to protect an alias in order to pay for sex.  At least he recognizes that he needs that type of protective layer in order to still be able to get professional companionship.

And with due respect, I don't buy the arguement that a mask is no longer a mask because it is used all the time.

If a lady does not want to see me because I post opinions in here they don't like, no problem.  They would not be someone I would want to spend time with.  I am not perfect for sure, but at least they can judge if my warts are so severe as to them not wanting to take a booking from me.

The humor is in the fact that he calls for Tex to "be a man" and write a review without regard of what others may think about it...and yet says that behind an alias.  If you can't see how laughable that was, sorry.  It find it pretty obvious.

   But your criticism went to his use of an alias to make a critical comment on the Board about another poster -you have not made the case there is anything unseemly about alias use in this context.. He did zap me and Gregory once pretty well under his alias name so he has consistently used this alias when making critical comments. Ego Check is simply his personna when being cranky.

He basically accussed Tex of not being a man, while himself not being man enough to show his real face (the assumption being that our TER Handle is our real identity).  Just because he has been getting away with not being held responsible for what he says or does for so long does not make him any more of "a man".  Just makes him a well establushed and entrenched coward.

For example, I am losing points with providers on the DC board today because I am speaking my honest mind.  I have been called a White Knight often, but the reality is I speak my mind either way.  It is just I usually side with the ladies in my opinons.  So be it.  A man (or woman) of character does that.  I'll take the hits and the DNSes as they fall today.  So if ego_check is half the "man" he pretends to be in here, why doesn't he just come out and announce who he is and own all his words of over the years.  Why?  Because he is affraid of losing points with the ladies.

fortunately i am not so shallow as to only value my time and effort. the situation is very complicated and will be difficult to get right. some things _might_ need to be left out.

the reason it is complicated is that there was a combination difficulties in atmosphere and problems with the erotic aspects of the encounter.

the latter i can describe in precise technical terms. i have re read her review history and find that the problems i encountered, while rare, were not without precedent. my first draft was too hot headed. it is now cool calm objective and eminently fair.

the atmospherics ranged from a curious inattention to a difficulty that may have been well intended but was certainly poisonous in effect.

i have little respect for just writing abusive crap as sometimes happens when sessions go poorly. OTOH i may be a nice guy, but i am no doormat. you knuckledraggers that think i need to grow a pair..... you'd be lucky to have a pair like mine.

And using the alias is not taking responsibility for what you write in the sense that there is no envelope for feedback and avoidance on allowing others (providers) to know how you really are.  There is no balls in that.  Just sprouting off views without standing behind them and taking responsibility does not require balls.  May allow for more freedom but I bet you'd be the first to complain about what a providers alias is so they go on your no call list.  Yet we can't do that to you eh?  I am not taking about you texcat... This is  just a point and a good one!

But I am speaking about Alias use.  I am not knocking alias use either.  I am just saying what I already said above.  Of course I can figure who's alias on most and some I have an idea on whom the regular name is on here.  Some I haven't a clue... like I would like to know who This...Is...Allures...Alias.  Can't figure that one out argh.

So, further clarification.  Most probably can guess that topbossman and I do not see eye to eye.  My use of the word boss in this instance was as you would use it as a bit disrespectful title, like others use "son" or longer versions of ones name.  Hmmm, sounds familiar.  Anyway, it can also be said that I see ego_check and topbossman as the same type of person in many cases.  So the word boss was selected to "paint with a broad brush" so to speak those who use the same words, attitudes, tactics, etc. towards me on the subject of debate (alias).  However, as I have stated elsewhere, I at least respect it when topbossman does it because he does it face to face so to speak.  

But as you can see, they are not the same person unless Phil missed something.  Right Phil?
