Thanks for bringing this up.  I don't think this is far off.

Have you seen Bladerunner?   Fully functional, lifelike replicants are less than 20 years away.  And, no they won't feel like silicone and plastic.  They will be at least partially made from biological substrate.  

Exciting/scary/controversial times ahead!

I'm not including me, but I think their would be an increase in rape cases if men didn't have this kind of outlet. Some guys can't live w/o the release with a woman and aren't the best ppl to begin with so I think it would lead to bad things....but thats just my thoughts on it.

It's effect on society would be very negative. The hobby has existed in virtually every civilized society since civilization was invented and probably before that as well. There have been times throughout history that the hobby was tacitly approved of and even supported by governing and religious bodies. The beneficial nature of the hobby is just about the worst kept secret ever...it's a wonder it is still illegal in many countries.

The true banishment of prostitution would be an stimulus package for Silicon Valley.  The development of love dolls to the next level is long overdue, and would surely be the next tech frontier.  Combining the best elements of the Roomba and the Fleshlight, it would put the US at the front of economic development once again!

..very good question.  you wanted a provider's response?  First you are assumming that an escort is in the business strickly for sexual fulfillment and some are.  Others it is financial and some it is both.  The providers that will respond truthfully are the ones who seek sexual fullfillment but the others will, in no way, respond in this forum.

Effect on society? History shows us it always has and always will be.  Society will always find a way to provide Prostitution.  It's in our makeup...or mens, called ego.

I haven't met too many providers that do it to satisfy their libido. I know that must come as a disappointment to all that fat assed, middle aged, bald guys that think that these women are all secretly in love with them. lol

As for myself, if P4P were to end tomorrow, I would just have to go about getting laid the old fashioned way. By actually "talking to them" rofl

Personally, I absolutely love NSA sex, but it's not like I would be reduced to whacking off everyday if I couldn't just pay for it. But you haven't answered the question. Imagine that I wave a magic wand and *poof* all the men who were formerly clients simply stop, but you're able to find another line of work. Does this effect you sexually? How?

Would it really have that much of an affect on the women.  We could still get sex when ever wanted it, and we could still ask for favours (and get them) any time we reminded the men that they could have sex with us if they made us happy.
I often ask myself; Is the hobby really perpetuated by horny men who can't get enough sex as society and the media would have us believe??  Or is it really perpetuated by extremely subtle and very astute women who have figured out a way to have everything they ever wanted....  and, as usual, blame all the bad stuff on the men.

I'd just stop turning down all the offers I get from civie women that I currently reject automatically albeit kindly. Instead I'd examine them more closely and pick ONE who would take care of my requirement for sexual surrogacy.

The extra credit question is interesting because I think the results would be particularly beneficial to men; but I don't have time to go into it right now.

and I think my sex drive would increase. I'd be able to have sex  with people to whom I am attracted both physically and emotionally. I'd be better able to choose when, where, how I want to be intimate. Also, no more suffering through those awful sessions that we all get at some point. After some of those, I am too drained to get off the couch...I don't even want to think about having more sex.  

Even though I come fairly often with my clients, I wouldn't say that I get sexual fulfillment from this lifestyle. I almost consider my orgasm as part of the performance; sometimes I think of other stuff to get myself off. It's not anywhere near as satisfying, on any level, as sex I've had outside the hobby. I do enjoy my job, but I'll always look outside of this to get my jollies ;-)
