For a younger woman to be interested in an older man, the normal romantic parameters don't apply. To catch her interest he must be called rich, a hobbyist, a celebrity, or be in a position the piques her admiration. My college professor friend said he got hit on many times over the years. A junior politician might be in that category.  

However, I believe there are exceptions. I recently met a twenty something who was married to a sixty something. She said she's highly attracted to older gentlemen. We spent about four hours together in a car, so I was able to check out her four thousand song playlist. Since it contained only 60s and 70s rock pop music I sort of believed her. No rap, no punk, no indie, no alternative. Remember The Beatles?
