Risky business?

There is an AMP in NYC which has begun a 'membership' on its website. I understand some agencies already do this and some places have their security concerns. But I wonder about providing the info they request including full name, place of work, etc. If they are busted, could someone on the membership list get in hot water? Curious to hear thoughts.

There was a big agency busted in Phoenix that had a members only site...LE had a huge client list.

I wouldn't take a chance, if I didn't have to....not worth the risk.

WWK

Go with your gut feeling on things like this. Frankly, you don't need the extra grief of running into potential problems with LE. Also, giving such info could potentially be bait for blackmail, but that's a long stretch of the caution-streak. Good luck.

Kelly... Youre so right. Definitely not worth the risk.
PS..Hope youre doing well Sexy!

Post this on the legal board.
IMHO membership is not a crime.

so your saying if an agency has your info, your in trouble if they get busted but how many agencies compared to independents do get popped?
think many, many more indies get busted than agencies.
maybe i am wrong but don't think so.
so if an indie has your info, in her blackberry and she gets popped does it mean your info is safe?

He said AMP which is THE most likely to get popped.

Also, there are more cases of an agencies client lists resulting in problems for clients that those of indies. It's not that likely that your info will be comprimised in either case, but that doesn't mean you are 100% safe either.

actually I was agreeing with you and it is more often you hear of the big name politicians and movie stars  getting caught dating girls from agencies. I don't think those guys are hobbyists though.
however there are incidents, like the lady working out of high class downtown hotel who was extorting her clients and had kept packages of dna in the freezer, when she was caught they had 9 pkgs with names and dates on them. she had big trouble, lost her home and more.
there are plenty more stories of independents with hidden cameras and other scams when they get greedy and do cause a lot of problems for people with families.
then there was an agency who advertised heavily and everywhere, had quite few ladies working for him, he didn't care about their well being or safety at all. he would actually book 2-3 dates at the same time for 1 girl and who arrived first was lucky the others waited or left.
one girl seen a few guys and the last one he sent forced himself on her without protection, robbed her of the money and even roughed her up quite a bit. He (agency) made her pay the money he was owed even tho she was robbed. If she didn't he was going to send info to her family and paste her photos/ad in the lobby where she lived. I could even tell you worse than that about him. really greatly dislike him, don't know what happened to him, nolonger around, that I can see.
Then another really nice guy, even tho he was a salesman(joke), was a member of a reputable verification service and was quite happy with it because it worked out well for long time.
Then he had a lunch date with a lady and was walking up to her condo and was stopped and put in a undercover car. He didn't know that she was being watched because the wives of the complex complained to the condo assoc. of numerous cars coming and going to her place, plus she sunbathed almost nude and walked around in provocative clothes in front of the children.  really I think they were worried about the husband looking at her not the kids! LOL!
anyway, they scared him with threats of losing his job, wife, kids, namein paper, blah, blah...he told them everything, why he was there how he got there the whole she-bang.
one pretended to be him, knocked on the ladies door and when money was passed between hands, away she went. if he had said nothing, told them to charge me or let me go or even ask for a lawyer, nothing would have happened and he had to testify in court anyway, but no charge on him.
My point is for an agency to get in trouble, like the heidi's and the other one who get the big name guys in the news are not so often.
If they do go after an agency it is because they are going across state lines, involved in drug dealings, smuggling or underage females or extortion. they need to do a sting with recorded conversations, emails and post dated appointments with proof of usually with CC's.
they don't go after the agent because one girl is caught with a client and says the agency sent me to him. they can't prove that it was for anything illegal without the proof. they don't  get all his records and computer because a girls says so.
We can try, do research, homework and take every precaution known but no way is it totally safe.
agency or independents.
like the guy who was picked up in the hotel by one female, drugged and robbed, that happens quite a bit more often than you think and its not being booked thru agencies.
The whole point is there is no silver bullet that will protect us 100% from being caught or getting an std.
for man or woman, no silver bullet...
