Sure emergencies can happen, but I find the cause of99% of the no shows are flaky providers.   Maybe TER should have a No-Show Scoreboard??

This happened to me twice, even though it was months ago.  The first time, she said she got lost despite the fact I gave her perfect directions, the name of the hotel and it was only 1 turn off the main highway she would be traveling.  After waiting 4 hours (I paid for that much time, so I spent it watching the Playboy Channel instead), I returned home with no email and/or phone call explaining her absence.  So, I sent her an email giving her a few choice words.  She said she got lost, but I didn't believe her as she sounded strange on the phone (I thought she was high) and made no attempt to contact me.

The next time, this provider was coming from out-of-state and she said she would call me with the room number once she arrived, but I never heard from her.

Don't I, and anyone else have the right to pass along to interested parties the possibility a provider is not reliable?

By all means you should post a review if this happens. You got ripped of. I sometimes feel that information is just as important as great review. Sometimes a lady is reviewed SO much that nothing new is really added. No new information and they all sound the same. I value my time and money just as the lady's do so I like to know up front if the lady is at least who she says she is and is reliable as far as showing up and not scheduling over you or on top of you. As far as performance, I know that in any situation YMMV. One guy may hit it off great with a lady while another may be oil to her water. Typically if you treat the lady with th respect she commands, things will go fine. But if you can't even get her to your location, or as you indicated, she may have a substance abuse problem, then that may be red flags guys may want to know about.

Always *consider* before you post. It sounds like you made every effort to get in touch with the first lady you spoke of... did you pay in advance???? If you paid in advance, never got a session, and never got your money back... I'd be surprised you hadn't posted a review before now!

But, the thing I would ask you to consider in a typical situation is... have you given the lady 24 hours (at least) to respond to your contact attempts? Something disastrous may have happened with her family, etc... and she might get back to you with a perfectly valid excuse for missing the appointment.  I think that the true test is... what a lady does *afterwards.*  A reputable lady will make an effort to make it up to you in a case like this. I know one time... oh lord it's still embarrassing to tell it... I had an appt. at 9pm. I laid down for a little *nap* at 4pm. I didn't bother to set my alarm because no WAY would I sleep longer than two or three hours at the most, right??? Well I woke up at 9:30 pm and I swear to you I was so upset, and I was actually SCARED to call the guy. I thought he might yell at me or something =:O  I did, however, send him an email immediately, apologizing profusely and asking him to consider letting me make it up to him. He did, and we all wound up happy, yay! :) Anyways, we are human just like you are, and sometimes in life, sh*t just happens... but if someone ignores you or blows you off, then by all means, post a review!

I hope that made sense, I'm really too tired to type right now =:O

Actually, Dave, it's probably easier to keep all the reviews (bad, negative, bait/switch/, no shows, or even... GOOD reviews!) listed the way they are now, by name.  Someone might post a no show on one of those "no show" boards, and it would pass off the board eventually... searchable, sure, but how much easier if it pops up right with the ladies name?

And I know a lot of you guys have had probs with no shows.. if it makes you feel any better, it happens to us too. :) Just pointing out that sometimes there really is a situation where someone means well and *stuff* just happens!

I tried to post a review of a session that simply went nowhere... I mean basically nothing happened or was going to happen. However I got a message from TER saying the message couldn't be posted because there were not enough "juicy details"

Huh?! There were none to report!

Since a no-show lacks "juicy details", I would say you cannot post it officially. You can certainly mention it on the relevant message board, though.

O.

If you want to caution people in your area (or the world), or you just want to vent, use Discussion Boards.

No offense to TER, but that's so silly! And I know I have seen reviews that were "She was a total ripoff" type reviews in there before. Maybe TER should rethink their stance on being sooooo determined to get juicy details that they do not let you guys post these negative experiences.

Keep an open mind. THINGS happen to other people just as they happen to me.  Use your judgement,  It is actually not that easy to effeively lie,  I can't so I sort of gave up.  Add a half-cup of common sense and simmer over an open flame until done.  Spice and taste to suit.  I'll bet (if you have kept tour temper on "low") that you come up with the right decision.

Post it.  Your bretheren in Hobbying deserve to learn about potential mindfields (and of the emotional variety as well.)

For better or for worse we are a community.  I personally rejoice at the incolusion of providors in our little group, and if you were in any way unreaonable, I am sure they will polithtly explain.  If you get flamed, chalk it up to an educational experiece.

There are far too many misspelled words.  How could someone else post under my nom-de-guerre.

ATTENTION TER police.  Will I have to change my password????

Whoever it was adopted my habit of capitalizing "Hobbyist" but I spell better - and I proofread my posts several times before I post them.  This is really disturbing.

I actually don't have a problem with the opinion stated.  I am just far to proud of my writing skills.

If Staff is taking an informal poll, my vote would be to allow such "no-shows" to be posted in the review section.

There is a surreal quality to the internet, particularly when it comes to escorts. All hobbyists are hoping that the screen images that are transmitted by electrons/photons will, at some point, be translated into actually meeting flesh-and-blood babes. However, these images could just as likely be thirteen-year old boys playing pranks, or cash-and-dash and bash-and-dash scams. Review sites such as TER are one of our few defenses against these con games.

It is a fallacy to think that, if a provider is a no-show, that no money has been lost. Certainly, the hobbyist loses his time (maybe several hours), and things get worse if travel is involved and a hotel room is booked.

My feeling would be to set out all of the details of the provider no-show in the juicy details section, including any attempts by the provider/hobbyist to get in contact with each other afterwards. Then the prospective hobbyist could make up his own mind about the provider.
